ZIMMER GRANDIOSO-THE LONESOME FOGHORN BLOWS(SINGEL/MUTHER MUSIC)

 

Göteborgsbandet Zimmer Grandisoso släpper här en ny skiva, första låtens gitarr påminner mig lite om ett långsamma I love rock n roll riff. Musiken annars och framförallt sången på den låten får mig att tänka på Television av någon anledning i början. Den går över till en låt som är lätt att sjunga med i men lite poppig stil. Waiting for the night to End börjar skönt med en saxofon och man får nästan lite Bruce Springsteen/Moneybrother-känsla på den låten och det är nog min favoritlåt på denna EP. Det låter en hel del 70-tal över det men jag gillar det och det med 70-tal vet jag inte riktigt vad jag menar med.  Rock n roll….Dog Days är en lugn sak och kanske har de lyssnat på lugnare 70-tals musik för att få till detta alster. På sista låten  Let me down får sångarens lite annorlunda röst mer utrymme och det gör att låten blir riktigt intressant. Kan bli en hit hos många recensenter. Skivan visar många olika stilar men när man lyssnar på hela skivan känns den ändå hel på något sätt. Jag vet inte riktigt målgruppen för deras musik men vi får nog lägga detta i indiefacket…det lite lugnare…16/5-2025

The Gothenburg band Zimmer Grandisoso releases a new new record, the first song's guitar reminds me a little bit of a slow I love rock n roll riff. The music otherwise and especially the vocals on that song makes me think of Television for some reason in the beginning. It goes over to a song that is easy to sing along to but a little poppy style. Waiting for the night to End starts nice with a saxophone and you almost get a little Bruce Springsteen/Moneybrother-feeling on that song and it is probably my favorite song on this EP. It sounds a lot of 70's over it but I like it and the 70's I don't really know what I mean with that. It´s ock n roll....Dog Days is a quiet thing and maybe they have listened to calmer 70's music to get this song be like this. On the last song Let me down, the singer's slightly different voice gets more space and that makes the song really interesting. Can be a hit with many reviewers. The record shows many different styles but when you listen to the whole record it still feels whole in some way. I don't really know the target group for their music but we'll probably have to put this in the indie category... among the little calmer... 16/5-2025
