ROGUE WAVE-DESCENDED LIKE VULTURES(CD-SUBPOP ADVSP 677/BORDER) En ganska skön start på dagen med lite lugnare musik som detta. Indie är det helt klart, det känns nästan som om Rogue Wave har läst manulen för hur ett indieband skall låta utan att på något sätt låta tråkigt. De får till lite goa gitarrer likt Jesus and Mary Chain ibland men allt som oftast faller de tillbaks i det lugnare soundet. Jag tänker på en grupp som Ride men rätta mig om jag har fel. Ibland får jag tankar på ett modernt Simon and Garfunkel, lite tuffare men ändå samma grundplatta att stå på. Ganska trevligt är det i alla fall.(SEX) 2/12-05 |

Indie is it ,that’s obvious, it feels almost as Rogue Wave have read the manual for how an indieband should sound without sounding boring in any way. They have some good guitars as Jesus and Mary Chain sometimes but often they fall back in some calmer sound. I think of a group as Ride sometimes but correct me if I’m wrong. Sometimes I think about a really modern Simon and Garfunkel , a little bit tougher but with the same ground. Really nice is it anyway.(SIX) 2/12-05 |
