PARANOID STATE-GREAT DIVIDER(LP-SHIELD RECORDINGS SLD 119)

Det är inte ofta man får post på en lördag men när jag tittade ut genom dörren står ett paket där. Det är min tredje skiva med holländska Paranoid State och det är en grupp som verkligen har ett skönt sound. Jag har ju jämfört de med gamla One Way System har jag för mig. Det finns sådana tendenser här med och det som slår mig är att de har ett skönt sound som är så tätt på något sätt. Som ett modernare Husker Du eller något sådant. Men punk är det verkligen men som sagt ett ganska eget sound även om jag jämför med andra band så har Paranoid State ett eget hårt och tätt sound. De har ett sound som är svårt att tröttna på och mycket av det beror på att jag aldrig hört något liknande innan och jag tror mycket beror på det. Nog snackat nu och jag tycker nog att ni ska ge er själva en chans och lyssna på gruppen. För jag tror verkligen inte ni kommer att bli besvikna. 25/1-2023

It's not often you get mail on a Saturday but when I looked out the door there's a package there. It's my third record with Dutch Paranoid State and it's a group that really has a nice sound. I've compared them to the old One Way System I have for me. There are such tendencies here too and what strikes me is that they have a nice sound that is so tight in some way. Like a more modern Husker Du or something like that. But punk it really is, but as I said, it's a pretty cool of its own, even if I compare it to other bands, Paranoid State has its own hard and tight sound. They have a sound that's hard to get tired of and a lot of it is because I've never heard anything like it before and I think a lot depends on that. Enough talked now and I think you should probably give yourselves a chance and listen to the group. Because I really don't think I'm you´re going to be disappointed. 25/1-2023

Den här gruppen kommer från Holland och de skickade mig två LP-skivor. Jag tycker nästan inledningsvis att de har ett sound som får mig att tänka på One Way System med lite hårdare tongångar. Titellåten plus en låt är över 3 minuter annars är det mellan 2 och 3 minuter som gäller för gruppen och deras täta sound tilltalar mig riktigt mycket. Svårt att sätta i en genre men att det är punk råder väl inte tvekan om men då menar jag punk i samma anda som Husker Du för exempel gjorde punkmusik. Mycket ljud, kompakt ljud och ett distat sound på ngåot sätt. Shut me out får mig att tänka på anarkogrupper, GBH och den typen av music så skivan växer för varje låt. Inte mycket annat att göra än att försöka få tag på skiva…så det så! 15/7-2019

This group comes from Holland and they sent me two LPs. I almost initially think that they have a sound that makes me think of One Way System with a little harder sound. The title track plus a song is over 3 minutes otherwise it is between 2 and 3 minutes that apply to the group and their frequent sound really appeals to me a lot. Hard to put in a genre but that it is punk does not have any doubt but then I mean punk in the same spirit as Husker Du for example how they made punk music. A lot of sound, compact sound and a distorted sound in the same way. Shut me out makes me think of anarchy groups, GBH and that type of music so the disc grows for each song. Not much else to do but to buy the record ... that´s how it is! 15/7-2019

Precis som på ovanstående skiva är det ganska korta tuffa punklåtar och än en gång tänker jag inledningsvis på One Way System, GBH och den typen av punkrock. Jag gillar verkligen deras täta punkrockstil och jag tror att många med mig kommer att uppskatta om ni bara ger gruppen chansen. Kolla in Bandcamp eller något sådant för att få ett hum om hur de låter men sedan köper ni skivorna. Tempot och stilen gör att man känner sig alldeles slut efter att ha lyssnat på dem men då menar jag på ett positivt sätt för det är verkligen bra musik det här. En av de mer intressanta grupperna jag har hört på senare tid och de har ett sound som är annorlunda men punkigt som bara den och det är inte så många grupper som låter på detta vis idag…15/7-2019

Just as on the above disc, it is a good idea to have short, tough punk songs and once again I think of the One Way System, GBH and that type of punk rock. I really like their dense punk rock style and I think many with me will appreciate if you only give the group a chance. Check out Bandcamp or something like that to get a hum about how they sound but then you buy the records. The tempo and the style make you feel very exhausted after listening to them, but then I mean in a positive way because it is really good music this. One of the more interesting groups I have heard in recent times and they have a sound that is different but punky as just that and there are not so many groups that sound like this today… 15/7-2019
