5 låtar vara två versioner av All smashed up, en som är akustisk och en elektrisk och låten som inleder skivan är The Water song och jag tänker nästan lite AC/DC eller något annat metalband men sedan kommer de igång och det blir en ganska långsam punklåt där sången nästan låter förvillande lik Knox från Vibrators. Det kanske inte är så långt ifrån dem heller musikaliskt. Sedan kommer låten som finns i två versioner All smashed up och först ut är den elektriska varianten. Det är en riktigt skön låt som verkligen visar hur Oxydants låter egentligen för denna låt är typisk gruppens stil tycker jag. Sugar and spice har ett lugnare tempo inledningsvis och ett parti oväsen i mitten av låten.  En skön låt med sköna annorlunda sång i bakgrundsången. Näst sista låten är Not my Blood som börjar nästan som en punkballad men de speedar upp den lite efter hand eller rättare sagt det blir mer elektriskt och det känns som en riktigt skön låt. Borde kunna bli en hit! Sist ut är den akustiska version av All Smashed up och den låten passar riktigt bra som akustisk också. Köp singeln med en gång. 5 songs are two versions of All smashed up, one which is acoustic and one electric and the song which starts the record is The water song and I think almost a little AC/DC or some other metal band but then they come on and it becomes a slow punksong where the vocals almost sounds confusingly similar to Knox from Vibrators. Maybe it's not that far from them either musically. Then comes the song which is available in two versions All smashed up and first out is the electric version. It is a really nice song which really shows how Oxydants sounds really because this song is typical the group's style I think. Sugar and spice has a slower tempo in the beginning and a lot of noise in the middle of the song. A nice song with nice different vocals in the background vocals. The second to last song is Not my Blood which starts almost as a punk ballad but they speed it up a little bit after a while or rather it becomes more electric and it feels like a really nice song. Should be a hit! Last out is the acoustic version of All Smashed up and that song fits really well as an acoustic as well. Buy the single right away. Not my Blood and the acoustic version of All smashed up are only included on the digital single 4/2-2025

OXYDANTS-BITE THE BAIT(LP-FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNP095)

Nya skivan som är ute med Oxydants är verkligen något att sukta efter och den startar med låten Old Dead Fucks som är en riktigt bra punklåt. De fortsätter sin resa med punkrock med attityd och det bara känns som att en livespelning måste vara väldigt svettig för jag känner redan när jag sitter och lyssnar nu att det här är en grupp som borde vara trevligt att se live. De gör låtar som är ganska lätta att sjunga med i och jag kan tänka mig att de är publikvänliga. Bästa skivan av de tre jag fick tycker jag och det är ju ganska ovanligt för många gånger är de första albumen bäst med en grupp och sedan sjunker intresset men här är det tvärtom så jag undrar hur bra inte nästa album blir då. Det är absolut ingen ny musikstil de har uppfunnit utan här är det mer en hyllning till punkrock och annan dieseldoftande rockmusik och den hyllningen gör de ganska egen och riktigt bra! Varför uppfinna något nytt när man kan utveckla stilar till något eget och det tycker jag att Oxydants gör mycket bra! Three-legged dog är lite annorlunda inledningsvis och känns nästan som en ny Nomads låt(eller gammal) och det är också en komplimang. Kolla in för fan! 29/2-2024

OXYDANTS-BITE THE BAIT(LP-FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNP095)

The new record which is out with Oxydants is really something to long for and it starts with the song Old Dead Fucks which is a really good punksong. They continue their journey with punk rock with attitude and it just feels like a livegig must be very sweaty because I feel already when I sit and listen now that this is a group that should be nice to see live. They do songs that are really easy to sing along to and I can imagine that they are audience-friendly. The best record of the three I got, I think, and that's quite unusual because many times the first albums are best with a group and then the interest drops, but here it's the other way around so I wonder how good the next album will be then. It ́s absolutely no new musicstyle they have invented, but here it ́s more a tribute to punk rock and other dieselsmelling rock music and that tribute they do really own and really good! Why invent something new when you can develop styles into something of your own and I think Oxydants does that very well! Three-legged dog is a little bit different initially and feels almost like a new Nomads song (or old) and that's also a compliment. Check it out for fuck's sake! 29/2-2024

OXYDANTS-DOG STAR(LP- FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNPR 062)

Denna skiva kom ut 2022 och jag tycker redan inledningsvis att det känns som om produktionen är lite fetare här på något sätt och därmed låter lite bättre än på Should I creep. Inledningsvis tänker jag lite på gamla Godfathers av någon anledning och det ger jag dem som en komplimang. Det känns lite som om det är ett mer kompakt sound på hela skivan faktiskt och med åldern kommer attityden. Det är inga klicheer och de måste inte spela musik som är modernt just nu utan man spelar den typen av musik man älskar mest även om inte alla gillar det. Då spelar man punkrock i vått och torrt och det gör Oxydants med en briljans. Medlåtar som valley of Doom, It takes a villain och Third Rail dancer så får de mig att resa mig upp och spela lite luftgitarr. Min favoritlåt på den här skivan är nog Bump in the road mycket beroende på det sköna tunga soundet…här är det mer attityd än vanligt. Köp för fan! 29/2-2024

OXYDANTS-DOG STAR(LP- FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNPR 062)

This album came out in 2022 and I think already in the beginning that it feels like the production is a little bit fatter here in some way and thus sounds a little better than on Should I creep. Initially, I think a little about old Godfathers for some reason and I give them that as a compliment. It feels a little like it's a more compact sound on the whole record actually and with age comes the attitude. It's no clichés and they don t have to play music which is modern right now, but you play the type of music you love the most even if not everyone likes it. Then you play punkrock through thick and thin and that do Oxydants with a brilliance. With songs like Valley of Doom, It Takes a Villain and Third Rail Dancer, they make me get up and play some air guitar. My favorite song on this record is probably Bump in the road, much because of the nice heavy sound... There's more attitude than usual. Buy for fuck's sake! 29/2-2024

OXYDANTS-SHOULD I CREEP OR SHOULD I CRAWL(LP-FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNPR 077)

Norska Oxydants skickade mig tre skivor, de fastnade i tullen trots att det var rätt gjort men skitsamma för nu är de här. En grupp med medlemmar som har några år på nacken och det hörs på musiken. Inte så att jag på något sätt menar att deras musik är trött utan att deras influenser är från tidig punk. Så mycket attityd i deras låtar och ni som gillar Backstreet Girls men vill ha det lite punkigare ska nog kolla in Oxydants och jag anser väl att den här norska gruppen är ett snäpp bättre. Kanske inte alltid går så fort för en låt som Meet mr Club, meet mr Cuff är en ganska långsam låt men punkens nerv ligger där hela tiden. Jag älskar bara deras rockiga punk . men sedan kan man få lite hårdare punklåtar som i Waiting for the storm to break. Svårt att sitta still när man lyssnar på detta och det är troligen inte meningen heller att man ska göra. Norrmän är ju riktigt bra på att spela punk på det gamla traditionella sättet och missar ni Oxydants får ni skylla er själva. 29/2-2024

OXYDANTS-SHOULD I CREEP OR SHOULD I CRAWL(LP-FUCKING NORTH POLE RECORDS FNPR 077)

Norwegian Oxydants sent me three records, they got stuck in customs even though it was done right but the same because now they are here. A group with members which have some years on the neck and it can be heard on the music. Not that I mean in any way that their music is tired but that their influences are from early punk. So much attitude in their songs and you who like Backstreet Girls but want it a little punkier should probably check out Oxydants and I think that this Norwegian group is a little bit better. Maybe it doesn ́t always go so fast for a song like Meet mr Club, meet mr Cuff is a really slow song but the nerve of punk is there all the time. I just love their rocking punk. but then you can get some harder punk songs as in Waiting for the storm to break. It's hard to sit still when you listen to this and it's probably not meant to be. Norwegians are really good at playing punk in the old traditional way and do you miss Oxydants you have only yourself to blame. 29/2-20244
