NINE-DEATH IS GLORIOUS(MINI-CD -COMBAT ROCK INDUSTRY CRI 033) Från att ha varit ett renodlat hardcoreband har Nine mer och mer tagit steget över till att spela hårdrock men då menar jag inte hårdrock på det gamla traditionella viset utan mer nu-metal eller vad man skall kalla det. Här får vi fyra låtar som verkligen krossar det mesta i sin väg. Nine har växt ut till en malande krossande maskin som slår de mesta på fingrarna. Here we get four songs which really crushes the most in it's way. Nine have grown up to a chewing crushing machine which beats the most on the fingers. NINE-KILLING NAGLES(CD-BURNING HEART BHR 168) Nine har mer och mer börjat gå over till hårdrock. Från att ha varit ett renodlat hardcoreband så låter de mer som ett Metallica på St Anger eller ett tuffare Paradise Lost för att säga några band. Jag gillar denna förändring för det känns som om Nine har blivit intressantare på något sätt. De har fått en egen profil på något underligt vis. Sångaren Johan Lindqvist låter arg när han spottar ut sitt hat mot allt och alla. Det kanske gjorde dem gott att vara ute med de tuffa grupperna på den där turnén de var ute på. From have been a more pure hardcoreband so sound they more like Metallica on st Anger or a tougher Paradise Lost to mention some bands. I like this change because it feels like Nine have found their own profile and have been more interesting. The singer Johan Lindqvist sounds angry when he spits out his hate against all and everybody and it maybe make them this way when they were out on the road with all the tough groups on the tour they were out on. | NINE-LIGHTS OUT(CD-BURNING HEART BHR 128) Nine är ett av de gamla Straight edge banden som har klarat sig bäst för de andra har dött eller har gått över till hårdrock allihop. Nine lyckas forma sin musik till en hybrid av Entombed och stonerrock och allt detta blandat med hederlig punk/HC. Jag är mycket imponerad av deras ilska och deras sätt att kunna hantera sin instrument. De har absolut inte kommit ifrån att vara arga för det lyckas de bra med. Men de blandar sina partier av olika musik så det blir till en mer än behaglig stil att njuta av. det rycker i mina gamla ben och jag skulle nog helst upp och poga lite, men jag orkar inte........(ÅTTA) 27/2-01 | NINE-LIGHTS OUT(CD-BURNING HEART BHR 128) Nine is one of the old straight edge bads which have managed the best after the storm. The others have gone over to hardrock or have died. Nine manage to form a hybrid of Entombed and stonerrock. And all this mixed with good old punk/HC. I´m very impressed of their anger and the way they play their instruments. They haven´t come over their anger and that is their strength. But they mix different styles and it´s gets very nice to hear to. My legs wants to have me on the dancefloor and pogo, but I haven´t have the guts....(EIGHT) 27/2-01 |
