Jag är ju uppväxt tidigt 70-tal och lyssnade väldig mycket på musik (och gör fortfarande) på 80-talet och då tänker jag på att det inte fanns så mycket bra utan det enda som var bra då var egentligen grupperna som kom efter första punkvågen och då menar jag tidigt 80-tal och då kom det mycket bra new wave grupper som Tant Strul, Pink Champagne och den typen av band. Varför nämner jag just dessa band kan man undra men Nära Döden har en kvinnlig sångerska och musiken är inte så långt ifrån hur dessa grupper lät men detta låter mer modernt och professionellt så klart. Men det finns så mycket melodier, melankoli, bra sång och framförallt bra musicerande på den här skivan. Jag kan tänka mig att ni som är inne på Agitator, Terra, Dalaplan och den typen av musik är målgruppen för denna grupp och alla vi som älskar all möjlig musik som är bra. Det är fartfyllt ibland på ett snällare sätt men finns det punkiga saker och i Helvete finns det en skönt gitarrljud likt det som man hittar på Wedding Presents skivor. Ett band som säkert kommer att nomineras till något när året summeras. Kom ihåg var ni läste det…. 3/3-2025

I grew up in the early 70's and listened to a lot of music (and still do) in the 80's and then I think about that there wasn't so much good but the only thing that was good then was really the groups that came after the first punkwave and then I mean early 80's and then there came a lot of good new wave groups like Tant Strul, Pink Champagne and that kind of band. Why do I mention these bands you can wonder but Nära Döden has a female singer and the music is not so far from how these groups sounded but this sounds more modern and professional of course. But there is so much melodies, melancholy, good vocals and above all good musicianship on this record. I can imagine that you who are into Agitator, Terra, Dalaplan and that type of music are the target group for this group and all of us who love all kinds of music that is good. It is fast paced sometimes in a kinder way but there is punky things and in Hell there is a nice guitar sound like what you find on Wedding Presents records. A band that will surely be nominated for something when the year is summed up. Remember where you read it.... 3/3-2025
