MONSTERMAGNET-MONOLITHIC BABY(CD-SPV 085-69432/PLAYGROUND) Underbart. Monstermagnet är tillbaks och det med besked. De vräker på med samma frenesitet som de alltid har gjort med sin stoner rock. Gitarrerna väser och sångaren låter sådär lagom arg. Men även lite lugnare alster har fått plats det hörs i On the Verge där det känns som om de har tagit lite influenser från de nya metalbanden Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit och deras lugnare alster, kanske lite Cult också, kan bli en hit. Men i det stora hela skall Monster Magnet spela på sitt gamla vanliga sätt för då blir det som bäst men även när de rockar till det i sann Sator/DAD-stil är det bra som i Monolithic.(SJU) 18/2-04 |
MONSTERMAGNET-MONOLITHIC BABY(CD-SPV 085-69432/PLAYGROUND) Wonderful. Monstermagnet is back and that with a bang. Theyre coming on really hard and with the same good sound as ever that they have done with their stonerrcok. The guitars really hissing and the singer is a little bit angry in the right way. But also some calmer things have found it´s place and that can be heard in On the Verge there it feels like they have taken some influences from the newer metalbands like Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and their calmer things maybe some Cult too, could be a hit. But in the whole Monster Magnet shall play in their usual way because then it´s best. But also when they rocks out in true Sator/DAD-style it´s really good as in in Monolithic.(SEVEN) 18/2-04 |
