LEWIS, JULIETTE-TERRA INCOGNITA(CD-ROADRUNNER RR 7824-2) Hon ser ut som en blandning av Malin Berghagen och Avril Lavagne på omslaget och vad jag vet innan om henne är att hon hade en kompgrupp som hette The Licks. I första låten kommer jag att tänka på Siouxsie and the Banshees och det är en ganska trevlig koppling jag får där. Både sångmässigt och låtmässigt är det inte alls långtifrån ett tidigt Siouxsie and the Banshees. Sedan fortsätter skivan med lite bluesiga saker och det är ganska blandat men Juliettes röst passar bra in på alla låtarna…..svårbeskrivbart som ni märker men av hög kvalité.(SJU) 11/9-09 |
LEWIS, JULIETTE-TERRA INCOGNITA(CD-ROADRUNNER RR 7824-2) She looks like a mix of Malin Berghagen and Avril Lavagne on the cover and what do I know about her since before is that she had a group called the Licks before. In the first song I think about Siouxsie and The Banshees and that´s a really nice thing to think about. Both the vocals and the songs isn´t so far away from early Siouxsie and The Banshees. Then the record continues with some bluesy things and you can understand that it´s really hard to describe this record but her voice suits well into every style of music and it´s high quality.(SEVEN) 11/9-09 |
