JAANAT-NAAMAT(CD-STUPIDO RECORDS TWINCD 288)

Jannat har jag aldrig hört talas om och jag tror inte att de har gjort något innan denna skiva. Tittar man på bilden så känns det som om den är från 70-talet så jag blir lite förvirrad. Musiken då, den är snabb och det är en tjej på sång och det som slår mig är att sången är väldigt långt fram i ljudbilden. Så därför blir deras snabba musik faktiskt lite egen och låter inte som alla andra punkband. Men det sköna med gruppen är verkligen deras galna tempo och detta med en tjej som nästan sjunger en annan låt men som sagt översköljer musiken som nästan blir som en bisak. Ett av de roligare band jag har hört på länge. Det är bara 9 låtar och det känns snopet när skivan är slut för jag ville ha mer…men man får ju inte alltid som man vill här i livet. Men vill du ha en riktigt trevlig stund i ditt punkliv och vill ha något som verkligen inte låter som alla annan punk så tycker jag verkligen att du ska låna ut ditt öra till Jaanat för deras musik är något utöver det vanliga. Ni får inga grupper som jag jämför med eftersom det känns omöjligt så det är bara att lyssna in er utan annan motivering att detta är förbannat kul! Sedan lugnar de ner sig i några låtar också och det kanske är välbehövligt. 29/4-2025

I have never heard of Jannat and I don ́t think they have done anything before this record. If you look at the picture it feels like it's from the 70's so I get a little confused. The music then, it's fast and it's a girl on vocals and what strikes me is that the vocals are very far ahead in the soundscape. So therefore their fast music is actually a little bit own and doesn ́t sound like all the other punkbands. But the nice thing about the group is really their crazy tempo and this with a girl who almost sings a different song but as I said floods the music which almost becomes like a side thing. One of the funnier bands I've heard in a long time. It's only 9 songs and it feels snooty when the record is over because I wanted more... But you don't always get what you want in life. But if you want to have a really nice moment in your punk life and want something that really doesn ́t sound like all other punk then I really think that you should lend your ear to Jaanat because their music is something out of the ordinary. You don't get any groups that I compare with because it feels impossible so just listen in without any other justification that this is damn fun! Then they calm down in a few songs too and that might be much needed. 29/4-2025
