HORRORPOPS-KISS KISS KILL KILL(CD-HELLCAT RECORDS 0498-2/SKIVA) Danska Horrorpops har sedan innan ett stor plats i mitt hjärta eftersom de spelar psychobilly på det sättet som jag älskar. Vi får se om de håller denna stil på den här skivan… En hel del kanske det gör att det är en tjej som sjunger men även medmusikerna spelar en typ av psychobilly som är så mycket trevligare än andra kollegor.Det går snabbare på något sätt och de har ofta en punkigare framtoning och det gillar jag. 12 låtar där till och med skan har fått fäste i några av låtarna och mina tankar går faktiskt över till No Doubt och deras tidiga bra alster. We will see if this style is the same on this record too…A whole lot of the good things is maybe because it´s a girl which is singing but also the musicians on the record plays a type of psychobilly which is so much nicer that the rest of the colleagues. It goes faster in some way and they have a more punkier style many times and that I like. 12 songs where ska also have find their way to the group in some of the songs and my thoughts go over to No Doubt and their earlier things. HORRORPOPS-BRING IT ON(CD-HELLCAT RECORDS # 0473) Hur skall man beskriva detta då? Lite rockabilly blandat med new wave och punk kanske , detta kryddat med en kvinnlig sångerska. Nja, ni borde kanske lyssna själva på detta för att förstå vad detta är för någon slags musik kanske. Men visst finns rockabillybasen där i bakgrunden men till och med lite reggae har kommit in i deras musik i en låt som It´s been so long och det för mig osökt att tänka på No Doubt på något sätt. Det kanske är publiken de skall försöka få tag i nu när Gwen Stefani/No Doubt har ballat ur helt. I alla fall ganska trevlig musik är det även om man kanske inte minns deras låtar precis sådär efteråt men i alla fall….(SJU) 11/8-05 |

No, you should maybe listen to this yourself to understand which style of music this is maybe. But sure there´s the rockabillybass in the background but they have get a reggaesound in the back in a song like It´s been so long and it makes me think about No Doubt in some way. It´s maybe that audience they should try to get now when Gwen Stefani/No Doubt totally have fucked up their music. HORRORPOPS-HELL YEAH(CD HELLCAT RECORDS #0463) Säg Stray Cats, säg Cramps, säg Transvision Vamp. Blanda dessa och ni har Horrorpops. Så enkelt kanske det inte är men det ligger något i vad jag skriver. Fräck rockabilly liknande poppunk i samma anda som Blondie(spelar de rockabilly, jag) och den typen av band. Det är lätt att ta till sig men jävligt svårt att få bort från huvudet. Men det är kanske inte meningen eftersom de håller på med musik så vill de säkert att deras musik skall finnas kvar i våra sinnen länge, länge. Hellcat records har lyckats få till ett riktigt annorlunda och fräscht band så lycka till i fortsättningen. (ÅTTA) 21/1-04 |

Cool rockabilly similar poppunk in the same spirit as Blondie(do they play rockabilly, I don´t understand) and that type of bands. It´s easy to take to me but it´s different to take away it from my head. But that´s maybe the meaning with playing music and they surely wants that their music is stucked in our heads for long. Hellcat records have managed to get a really different and cool band so good luck in the future.(EIGHT) 21/1-04 |
