HOOK-HOOK(KASSETT SHIELD RECORDINGS SLD139)

Ett finskt band som släpper en kassett. Det har jag varit med om förut med Cause a Riot så jag hoppas på lika bra grejor här. Börjar så melodiskt så jag blir så glad. 5 låtar av hög klass på engelska och jag tänker lite på engelska band som Mega City Four, Senseless Things och även lite på australienska Hard-Ons när kassetten startar men med ett lite tuffare sound. Kassett kanske inte är mitt format men Hooks musik är verkligen mitt format om man säger så. Riktigt bra ljud på de fem låtarnaoch låten Almost there med sina körer fastnar i mitt huvud med en gång. Jag hoppas verkligen att dessa låtar kommer på CD eller LP för jag skulle vilja ha dem på ett annat sätt också. Det var bara tur att jag hade en kassettbandspelare för jag fick en av grannen. Men det här bandet tror jag vi får höra mer av eftersom deras stil är såpass lätt att ta till sig och sångaren gör att det på något sätt inte låter som allting annat. 21/10-2022

A Finnish band releasing a cassette. I've been through that before with Cause a Riot so I'm hoping for just as good stuff here. Starts so melodically so I'm so happy. 5 high class songs in English and I think a bit of English bands like Mega City Four, Senseless Things and also a bit of Australian Hard-Ons when the cassette starts but with a slightly tougher sound. Cassette may not be my format but Hook's music is really my format if you say so. Really good sound on the five songs, and the song Almost there with its choruses sticks in my head right away. I really hope these songs come on CD or LP because I'd like to have them in a different way too. It was just lucky that I had a cassette recorder because I got one from my neighbor. But I think we'll hear more of this band because their style is so easy to absorb and the singer makes it somehow not sound like everything else. 21/10-2022
