GIGANTOR-GIANT ROBOT SPARE PARTS VOL 1(2CD GOLF RECORDS CDHOLE 114/BORDER) Ett trevligt initiativ för att få uppmärksamheten för ett riktigt bra tyskt band: Gigantor. Här har Golf Records släppt två skivor med gruppen och ett gäng extralåtar. På första skivan är det Magic Bozo Spin som har fått sällskap av tre extralåtar , Tainted Love, 2 Crazy 4 U och Solitary Confinement, alla i bra versioner men resten av skivan är inte dålig heller, bra poppig punk i sann Gigantoranda om ni vet hur den är.  It´s Gigantic är andra skivan och där finns en hel del bra låtar och framförallt bra poppig punkrock igen.  Do they know it´s Christmas är en av låtarna där och den görs på ett bra sätt, mycket bättre än den nya versionen som finns ute nu. Here have Golf Records released two records with the group and a gang of extrasongs. Do they know it´s Christmas is one of the song and they do it really good, much better than the new version which is out now. GIGANTOR-BACK TO THE ROCKETS(CD-SPV 085-72192 CD/PLAYGROUND) Det var ett tag sedan Gigantor hörde av sig med något nytt. Men de har inte tappat något i tempo utan fortsätter spela sina glada hurtiga punkstil. Det kan säkert jämföras med många grupper men någonstans mellan Toten Hosen och Bad Religion ligger de. Ni förstår alltså att det handlar om snabb punkrock när den är som bäst. Det vimlar av melodier och glada tillrop när Gigantor spelar musik. De kör några covers av All, en japansk låt, och det gör de med stor bravur. En konsert med dessa måste vara en underbar upplevelse för sådan här snabb musik med så mycket stämmor passar live kan jag tänka mig. But they haven´t lost anything in their tempo and they continue to play their fast and happy punkstyle. They can surely be compared to many groups but they´re somewhere between Toten Hosen and Bad Religion. You understand that thy´re playing punkrock when it´s best and it´s so many melodies and harmonies when they play. They do some covers by All, some japanese song and they do it very good.
