FALSE ALARM/YOUTH GONE MAD(CD-FALSE ALARM RECORDS)

Paul Kostabi har spelat i bägge dessa grupper och Youth Gone Mad delen hade jag hört innan. Imponerande gästlista för Youth Gone mad har med Dee Dee Ramone och False Alarm med Cheetah Chrome. False Alarm är först ut och deras punk härstammar från det gamla goa 70-talet och när det fanns en attityd som är svår att förklara. Det behövde inte låta för tufft det bara var tufft på något underligt sätt och mycket beror nog på sångaren. Det är inspelat i början av 2000-talet men skulle likaväl kunnat ha varit inspelat i slutet av 70-talet.Youth Gone Mad har ju som sagt Dee dee i gruppen och det hörs verkligen för deras musik låter väldigt mycket Ramones och då menar jag tidiga Ramones och det är riktigt bra. 7/5-2010

Paul Kostabi have been playing in both these groups and Youth Gone Mad-part have I heard before. Impressing guestlista for Youth Gone mad with Dee Dee ramones and False Alarm with Cheetah Chrome. False Alarm is first out and their punk comes from the good old 70´s and when there was an attitude which is hard to explain. It didn´t was needed to sound tough it was tough anyway in some odd way and much depens on the singers voice I think. It´s recorded in the beginning of 2000 but it could surely could have been recorded in the end of the 70´s. Youth Gone Mad have Dee Dee in the group as I said and it really can be heard because their music really sounds Ramones and then I mean early Ramones and that´s cool. 7/5-2010

Den här skivan kom ut 1998 och en del av låtarna kommer 1983. Titellåten låter nästan som om den skulle vara tagen från ett Dickies-album och jag tror det beror på sångaren Paul Aragons röst. Det fortsätter på samma vis och jag gillar deras melodiska och även om det finns influenser från nyss nämnda Dickies så tycker jag nog att de har ett ganska eget sound faktiskt. Men skall ni satsa på någon False Alarm skiva så köp den den ovan ihop med Youth Gone mad. 7/5-2010

FALSE ALARM-LEARNING IS IMPOSSIBLE(CD-STROMBOLI SOUNDS SS 013EP)

This record came out 1998 and some of the songs comes from 1983. The titletrack sounds almost as it could be taken from a Dickies-album and I think it depends on the singer Paul Aragons voice. It continues in the same way and I like their melodic and even if there is influences from the mentioned Dickies so do I think that they have an own sound actually. But shall you buy something from false Alarm buy this over this review together with Youth Gone mad. 7/5-2010
