DOMESTIC CURSE-THE FIVE CURSES(LP-CIMEX RECORDS CIMEX 011)

Här är musik som jag inte är riktigt van vid måste jag säga och jag är lite överraskad över skivan. Jag tänker både på techno, Carter the unstoppable sexmachine och Ian Dury på samma gång när jag hör första låten Pass the time. En pratsång med en väldigt engelsk accent…fräckt men något överraskande. Skivan fortsätter med sin pratsång men vi får också en sångare som sjunger fram delar av låtarna. Mycket text är det och det blir riktigt tufft på något sätt trots att soundet är mer åt discohållet i bakgrunden eller rättare sagt inte disco som 70-talsdisco utan mer ett sound som får mig att tänka på grupper som KLF och mer elektroniska grupper som fanns en del på 90-talet. Men än en gång blir jag så överraskad av skivan och att den släppts på Cimex Records när det absolut inte är punk/hardcore eller liknande men textmässigt kanske det passar in eller vad sägs om låten Antifascist default som är den klart bästa låten på skivan och den mest punkiga dito. Så varför inte vidga dina vyer och köp den här skivan! Bara Antifascist default är värd priset….19/12-2022

Here's music that I'm not really used to, I must say, and I'm a little surprised by the record. I think of techno, Carter the unstoppable sexmachine and Ian Dury at the same time when I hear the first song Pass the time. A talk song with a very English accent... cool but somewhat surprising. The album continues with its talk song but we also get a singer who sings out parts of the songs. A lot of lyrics are there and it gets really tough somehow even though the sound is more in the disco direction in the background or rather not disco like 70's disco but more a sound that makes me think of groups like KLF and more electronic groups that existed some in the 90s. But once again I am so surprised by the record and that it has been released on Cimex Records when it is absolutely not punk / hardcore or the like but lyrically maybe it fits in or how about the song Antifascist default which is by far the best song on the record and the most punky ditto. So why not broaden your horizons and buy this record! Only Antifascist default is worth the price....19/12-2022
