DEAD POLLYS-TRUTH OF TOMORROW(CD-TOO LOUD RECORDS TLR004)

Dead Pollys nya skiva inleds med en snabb låt som heter Silicon Valley king  med en ganska kort text men det behövs ibland inte mer för att visa vad man tycker om saker och ting. De 12 låtarna är verkligen låtar som gör mig glad och det handlar om snabb punk och gubbarna kan ännu, det måste jag säga. De har till och fått med lite skatakter på Who´s to blame. Mart har gjort ett bra jobb med inspelningen och han vet hur det ska låta. Dead Pollys borde ha ett större inflytande på världen tycker jag och jag hoppas verkligen att mer för upp ögonen för denna grupp. Inte en dålig låt går att uppbringa på den här skivan och det var kanske inte någon överraskning eftersom Dead Pollys visat tidigare att det är en mycket kompetent. Gimme Good News har lite metal över sig tycker jag och de får det nästan till ett Satorliknande sound.  Dead Pollys borde vara en grupp på alla punkares läppar för det är de värda och har kämpat ett tag nu för detta är deras tredje fullängdare. Det är riktigt kul att höra inspirationen de verkar ha när de spelar. Så varför inte kolla in Dead Pollys med en gång om ni inte gjort det innan!  En av de bästa skivorna i år! 13/6-2023

Dead Polly's new album opens with a fast song called Silicon Valley king with a fairly short lyrics, but sometimes you don't need more to show what you think about things. The 12 songs are really songs that make me happy and it's about fast punk and the guys still know, I have to say. They've even included some skasound on Who's to blame. Mart has done a great job with the recording and he knows how it should sound. Dead Pollys should have a greater influence on the world I think and I really hope that more will bring attention to this group. Not a bad song can be found on this album and it was perhaps no surprise since Dead Pollys has shown in the past that it is a very competent one. Gimme Good News has a bit of metal about it, I think, and they almost get it to a Sator-like sound. Dead Pollys should be a group on every punk's lips because they are worth it and have been fighting for a while now because this is their third full-length. It's really fun to hear the inspiration they seem to have when they play. So why not check out Dead Pollys right away if you haven't done it before! One of the best records this year! 13/6-2023

Jag har ju haft turen att höra Jimmie Jimmie innan och en spark mot nazismen som är riktigt bra. Dead Pollys spelar ju en ganska tuff punkrock eller rättare sagt Nizze har en riktigt tuff och ruffig röst som passar ypperligt till deras musik. Musikaliskt kanske man kan höra Sham 69 , Clash, SLF och den typen av lite singalong punk men fast på ett lite hårdare vis. The smallest man alive om Trump är också en riktig punkdänga det finns bara bra låtar på denna 11-spårs skiva och man vill bara lyssna på den om och om igen och därför sätter jag på den igen för den här typen av musik är verkligen musik som jag älskar. Clash-stölden på I´m not John Wayne är tuff och låter underbart bra på den låten. Dead Pollys är ett av Sveriges doldis punkband men jag hoppas verkligen och tror att denna skiva kan ändra på det faktumet! 26/2-2019

I've been lucky enough to hear Jimmie Jimmie before and the kick against Nazism that is really good. Dead Pollys play a rather tough punk rock or, more correctly, Nizze has a really tough and gruff voice that suits their music perfectly. Musically maybe you can hear Sham 69, Clash, SLF and that kind of a little singalong punk but firmly in a little harder way. The smallest man alive about Trump is also a real punkhit and there are only good songs on this 11-track album and you just want to listen to it over and over again and therefore I put it back on because this type of music is really music like I love. The Clash theft in I´m Not John Wayne is tough and sounds great on that song. Dead Pollys is one of Sweden's hidden punk bands but I really hope and believe that this record can change that fact! 26/2-2019

DEAD POLLYS-BULLET FOR THE WICKED(CD-DEAD POLLYS DPR01)

Nizze från denna grupp har ju varit med Sightens Grannar, SIC, Mansic om jag inte missminner mig. Här har han skickat med två nya låtar och skivan från 2014 och jag älskar verkligen den här skivan även om Nizze tyckte att det var lite vingligt här och där men jag gillar det riktigt mycket. Det är väldigt energisk musik och man hör en del andra bra grupper här och där men i det stora hela så tycker jag att man hör Dead Pollys. Deras musik är en blandning av både folk, street och vanlig 77-punk tycker jag. Jag gillar Nizzes röst som är som klippt och skuren för sådan här ganska melodiös musik som gruppen spelar och hans lite råa röst balanserar upp musiken som kanske kan räknas som ganska snäll punk och då menar jag inte någon slags new wave men det är inte hardcore om man säger så. Så mycket känslor i musik och röst tycker jag. De två nya låtarna låter lovande…Jimmie Jimmie(är det Åkesson) är en låt som nästan skulle kunna vara en tuffare allsångslåt av Sham 69 och andra låten Smallest man on earth  pr Smallest man Alive handlar om Trump efter vad jag förstår och att han får sig en streetpunkkänga är aldrig fel..Ännu en allsångslåt! Låter lovande inför nya skivan! 4/10-2018

DEAD POLLYS-BULLET FOR THE WICKED(CD-DEAD POLLYS DPR01)

Nizze from this group has been with Sightens Grannar, SIC, Mansic if I don´t remember wrong. Here he sends with two new songs and the record from 2014 and I really love this album even though Nizze thought it was a little bit awkward here and there but I really like it. It's very energetic music and there are a lot of other good groups here and there but on the whole, I think you hear Dead Pollys. Their music is a mix of both folk, street and regular 77-punk I think. I like Nizze's voice that's cut for this kind of melodious music that the group plays and his bit of raw voice balances the music, which may be considered pretty nice punk and I do not mean any kind of new wave but it's not hardcore it´s about if you say so. So much feelings in music and voice I think. The two new songs sound promising ... Jimmie Jimmie (is the Åkesson?) is a song that could almost be a tougher songalongtrack of Sham 69 and the second song, Smallest man on earth or Smallest man Alive, is about Trump, as I understand and getting a streetpunksong is never wrong..another singalongsong! Sounds promising for the new disc! 4/10-2018
