CIVET-MASSACRE(CD-DISASTER RECORDS DSR 9036-2) Jag lade aldrig märke till gruppen på Old Skars and Upstarts 505 men här gör man verkligen det. Sångerskan Lisa Graves har en underbart rå röst som verkligen passar till det snabba och tuffa punksoundet. Jag gillar verkligen det råa soundet som de får till och att man inte får en andhämtningspaus under skivan är egentligen ännu fräckare. Till skillnad mot andra tjejband verkar de inte ha något emot att bli kallade tjejband. Jag tycker mig höra lite Rancidbasgångar i bakgrunden också och det är väl aldrig fel. Inte så mycket mer att säga förutom att ni borde gå och inhandla denna skiva, en riktig trevlig liten plastbit det här.(SJU) 13/12-05 |
CIVET-MASSACRE(CD-DISASTER RECORDS DSR 9036-2) I never noticed Civet on the good compilation Old Skars and Upstarts 505 but here they do a really good work. The singer Lisa Graves have a wonderful and raw voice which really suits to the fast and tough punksound. I really like the raw sound as they have and you don´t get a chance to breathe anywhere and that´s even more cool. Difference to other other girlbands is that they don´t care about fi you call them a girlband it seems like. I think I can hear some Rancid-basstyled things in some songs and that is never wrong. Not so much too say otherwise without that you should go out and buy this record and it´s a really nice plastic thing.(SEVEN) 13/12-05 |
