Svegis/Bristles och Crossler/Smash it Up har ett band ihop och det är detta med det UK Subs-doftande namne Brand New Age och det är säkert en av influenserna. Nu har de släppt sin nya skiva och Tell us the Truth är också en flirt till den tidiga punken med tanka på Sham 69.  Och det är väl där ungefär sig gruppen rör sig känns det som och det är ju en skön upplevelse. Det är larmigt som bara den och skivan rör upp mina känslor till det bättre. När man först hörde den här typen av musik var man ju inte så gammal och man var i de sena tonåren och nu är man i de senare av de sista åren men det är lika bra ändå. Det är den här typen av punkrock som jag verkligen älskar och det hör man att medlemmarna i gruppen också gör. Hard and Smart heter en av de bästa låtarna och det är väl så som jag ser på gruppen…hårda och smarta. De tio låtarna är små mästerverk allihop tycker jag och om detta är nostalgi så älskar jag nostalgi. Jag vill inte prata mer om skivan utan jag vill bara lyssna i lugn och ro och hoppa upp och ner så länge jag orkar. 2/3-2026

Svegis/Bristles and Crossler/Smash it Up have a band together and it is this with the UK Subs-scented namesake Brand New Age and that is surely one of the influences. Now they have released their new record and Tell us the Truth is also a flirt to the early punk with a thought of Sham 69. And that's where the group moves it feels like and it's a nice experience. It's noisy as hell and the record stirs up my feelings for the better. When you first heard this type of music you weren't that old and you were in your late teens and now you're in the latter of the last years but it's just as good anyway. It is this type of punkrock that I really love and you can hear that the members of the group do too. Hard and Smart is one of the best songs and that's probably how I see the group... hard and smart. The ten songs are all small masterpieces I think and if this is nostalgia then I love nostalgia. I don't want to talk more about the record, I just want to listen in peace and quiet and jump up and down as long as I can. 2/3-2026

Med medlemmar från Bristles, Smash it Up bland annat så spelar Brand New Age 11 riktigt bra låtar på den här skivan. Jag tror bara det finns fysiskt som promoex men det finns annars på Bandcamp till exempel. Som jag förstår det vill de spela en typ av Oi/uk82 musik och det tycker jag verkligen de har lyckats med.  Det är låtar som man bara vill sjunga med i och det är musik som skulle passa ypperligt live. Micky Fitz från Business får sig en hyllning här också i låten som heter just Micky Fitz. Snabba låtar är det i regel och med en sång som verkligen låter som det gjorde för 40 år sedan och inget fel på det för det här är musik som ligger mig väldigt varmt om hjärtat.  Skulle vara riktigt trevligt också om man kunde sätta på skivan på sin vinylspelare men man kan ju inte få allt men man kan ju få önska. Riktigt sköna punktitlar som Society is a lie, We don´t care, Put your money where your mouth is så allt är som det ska vara för att det ska vara riktig punk. För det är det verkligen och man hörs att det görs av verkliga punkälskare och då blir det med automatik riktigt bra punk. Kolla in gruppen för även äldre män kan göra riktigt bra punkmusik…..20/1-2025

With members from Bristles, Smash it Up among others, Brand New Age 11 plays really good songs on this record. I think it's only available physically as promoex but it's otherwise available on Bandcamp for example. As I understand it, they want to play a type of Oi/uk82 music and I really think they have succeeded with that. It's songs that you just want to sing along to and it's music that would fit perfectly live. Micky Fitz from Business gets a tribute here too in the song called Micky Fitz. Fast songs it is usually and with a song that really sounds like it did 40 years ago and nothing wrong with that because this is music that is very close to my heart. Would be really nice too if you could put the record on your vinyl player but you can't have everything but you can wish. Really nice punky titles like Society is a lie, We don ́t care, Put your money where your mouth is so everything is as it should be for it to be real punk. Because it really is and you can hear that it is done by real punk lovers and then it automatically becomes really good punk. Check out the group because even older men can do really good punkmusic.....20/1-2025
