BOOMTOWN RATS-BEST OF(CD-EAGLE RECORDS EAGCD202) Underbart, jag hade glömt hur bra de var i början av sin karriär. Det är inget fel på I don´t like Mondays men i början av sin karriär var Boomtown Rats ett punkband. Med låtar som She´s so modern, Mary of the fourth form, Looking after no 1 osv så bevisar de det. Helt underbara låtar. Att de sedan utvecklades till ett popband är inte så mycket att säga om men här har den stora tyngdvikten lagts vid de tidiga plattorna och det är något som jag verkligen uppskattar. Mycket hitlåtar blir det och att sedan Bob Geldof har blivit sir är ju en helt annan historia för här är det rebellen Geldof som gäller i de flesta låtarna. Men de lugna låtarna som Rat Trap och I don´t like mondays är inte helt fel heller.(ÅTTA) 19/11-03 |

It´s nothing wrong with I don´t like mondays but in the beginning of their career was Boomtown rats a punkband. With songs like She´s so modern, Mary of the fourth form, Looking after no 1 they prove that. That they after that became a popband isn´t so much to say about but eher they have put the biggest part of the songs in on their first two-three records and that´s something I really appreciate. Many hitsongs is it and that Bob Geldof have been sir is another history because here it is the rebel Geldof which is the thing in the most of the songs. But calm songs like Rat Trap and I don´t like Mondays isn´t whole wrong either.(EIGHT) 19/11-03 |
