12 låtar med larmig garagepunkrock eller vad man ska kalla det. Det är mycket ljud och gitarrerna ylar kan man säga. Finns säkert många band man kan jämföra de med och ibland blir det nästan lite rockabilly-stil som i Dead Moon drive till exempel men bara i små doser. Men det som slår mig mest är tempot som de driver upp i sin musik och jag kan verkligen tänka mig att en livekonsert med gruppen är en svettig upplevelse. Deras Some kind of stupid är en snabb rökare som jag verkligen gillar och som jag tror är favoriten på skivan. Den mest punkiga låten The Ballad of Tommy and Sally är så jävla skön. Boogietraps fortsätter i samma stil hela skivan ut och det är inte en lugn stund på den och helt klart är det en av de bättre skivorna från Norge i år och då har de en hel del att tävla emot. Fucking North Pole Records är ett riktigt bra skivbolag och där släpps inte en dålig skiva. Så varför inte lämna Tv: n, jobbet, gymmet eller vad du håller på med just nu och införskaffa den här skivan istället. För missar ni den är det synd om er… 3/11-2025 §

12 songs with noisy garagepunkrock or what to call it. There is a lot of noise and the guitars howl you could say. There are certainly many bands you can compare them with and sometimes it becomes almost a little rockabilly-style like in Dead Moon drive for example but only in small doses. But what strikes me the most is the tempo that they drive up in their music and I can really imagine that a live concert with the group is a sweaty experience. Their Some kind of stupid is a fast smoker which I really like and which I think is the favorite on the record. The most punky song The Ballad of Tommy and Sally is so fucking nice. Boogietraps continues in the same style all the way through and it ́s not a quiet moment on it and clearly it ́s one of the better records from Norway this year and then they have a lot to compete against. Fucking North Pole Records is a really good record label and there is not a bad record released. So why not leave the TV, work, gym or whatever you're doing right now and get this record instead. Because if you miss it, it's a pity for you... 3/11-2025

Den här skivan kom ut i år(2023) och den har en låt mer än förra skivan. Förra skivan var så bra så jag har stora förväntningar på den här skivan också. I fin turkos vinyl blir jag inte besviken och då menar jag att skivan är turkos. I can´t get you back påminner mig om både Kiss och Ramones på samma gång och det är ju en skön låt. Den här skivan har lite skarpare låtar och jag bara älskar den snabba Have you Heard the News till exempel. Det är mycket energi och attityd i deras musik och actionrock är nog ordet. Ett av Norges mest intressanta grupper i den här genren som ligger i rockfacket och Backstreet Girls kanske får se upp som Norges bad boys. Jag blir så energirik själv när jag hör gruppen och det är svårt att sitta still till detta och varför ska man göra det. Kan tänka mig att det är en skön och svettig upplevelse att se gruppen live.13/8-2023

This record came out this year(2023) and it has one song more than the last record. The last album was so good so I have high expectations for this album as well. In fine turquoise vinyl I am not disappointed and I mean that the record is turquoise. I can't get you back reminds me of both Kiss and Ramones at the same time and it's a nice song. This record has some sharper songs and I just love the fast Have you Heard the News for example. There is a lot of energy and attitude in their music and action rock is probably the word. One of Norway's most interesting groups in this genre is in the rock box and Backstreet Girls may have to look up as Norway's bad boys. I get so energetic myself when I hear the group and it's hard to sit still to this and why should you do it. Can imagine that it is a nice and sweaty experience to see the group live.13/8-2023

Jag kan tänka mig att de spelar en stil som heter actionrock med tanke på titeln på skivan men vi får väl se. Det är ju inte så dåligt tänkt eftersom detta är en typ av musik som ligger någonstans mellan garagerock och punkrock och det är musik som har spelats förr av grupper som Hellacopters, Turbonegro etc och ni vet ungefär hur det låter isåfall. Denna skivan kom ut 2020 och är en uppvisning i 12 låtar i en riktigt medryckande stil. Jag skulle inte säga att de låter som någon av de grupper som jag skrev om tidigare för jag tycker nog att Boogietraps har en egen stil i sitt rockande och ser ut ett vara en ny favorit hemma här hos mig. 13/8-2023

I imagine they play a style called action rock given the title of the album but we'll see. It's not so bad thought because this is a type of music that is somewhere between garage rock and punk rock and it is music that has been played before by groups like Hellacopters, Turbonegro etc and you know roughly how it sounds in that case. This album came out in 2020 and is a showcase of 12 songs in a really catchy style. I wouldn't say they sound like any of the groups I wrote about earlier because I think Boogietraps have their own style in their rocking and look like a new favorite at home here with me. 13/8-2023
