BLACK KEYS-THICKFREAKNESS(CD-FAT POSSUM 0371-2/EPITAPH) Hur många grupper har inte gjort Have love will travel genom tiderna egentligen. Men det är klart det är en bra låt. Bluesig rock n roll är vad Black Keys gör och jag uppskattar faktiskt detta riktigt mycket. Det känns stökigt på ett positivt sätt och nästan lite punkigt sådär. Det är lagom arrogant stil i deras sätt att framföra sin musik. Man får lite vibbar till Jimi Hendrix ibland också och det är ett rått nästan skitigt ljud på skivan. Men är de bara två i gruppen och på skivan, då blir jag imponerad.(SJU) 21/3-03 |

Bluesy rock n roll is what Black Keys do and I appreciate this really much. It feels messy and distorted in a way and it´s in a positive way I say that and it feels a little punky too. It´s arrogance in the right dozes in their way to do this, You get some vines to Jimi Hendrix sometimes and it´s a simple raw sound and if they´re only are two in the group I really get impressed.(SEVEN) 21/3-03 |

BLACK KEYS-THE BIG COME UP(CD-ALIVE RECORDS 0044-2) Skivan börjar som en riktigt go countryskiva eller vad säger jag egentligen. Jag menar ju bluesskiva och det är inte fy skam. Men jag är ju inte så glad i blues och blir därför lite skeptisk till detta för sådan här musik är ju alltför tråkig. Eller är den inte det , kanske inte för Black Keys lyckas vända mitt ”hat” mot blues till något positivt istället och det beror nog mycket på att de får till en ganska punkig blues på något sätt och därför inte blir så tråkiga.(SEX) 13/6-02 |
BLACK KEYS-THE BIG COME UP(CD-ALIVE RECORDS 0044-2) The record begins as a really good countryrecord or what do I say? I mean bluesrecord and that´s not s shame. But I´m not so found of blues and therefore I´m a little sceptic to this because this music is all to boring to me. Or maybe it isn´t because Black Keys manage to make my ”hate” to blues a little more positive and that depends surely of the fact that they do a really punky blues in a way and therefore they´re not so boring(SIX) 13/6-02 |
