A really good and new band for me is Gothenburgbased band Pistol Mob. They have also another band which is called Trubbel where they do gothenburgpunk in the old way. The man who answers my questions in august 2009 is the singer Stefan.

History?
-I(Stefan, vocals) and Tobias (drums) started to write songs 5-6 years ago. After some years we had a whole lot of songs which we thought we could play live and then we took in Magnus and Timmy as guitars 3 years ago. And after that we have done an album and released it on Alleycat Records. We have been on a europetour with Electric Frankenstein and we will go on another Europetrip in  november/december 2009.

Please tell me a little about everyone in the group, age, families, interests and something bad about every one?

-Many people thinks that we´re not so old as we look, the most of us is around the 30´s. There isn´t anything horrible with us, we´re nice guys

But howcome you play some sort of early punkrock as you do, you weren´t born then almost?

-As we said , we´re older than people think.

How would you describe your music in three words?
-Energyfilled, ansgtfilled, hangover.

Which bands are you being compared with?
-I don´t know.

Alleycat how does it work?
-Alleycat is driven by the fantastic Jonk.
He´s the heart of the garage/punkscene in Gothenburg and he have helped us both with records and livebookings.

Is it many gigs?
-No, but we try to do 1-2 tours a year and some gigs between them.

You do a song in swedish, why not all in swedish?
-It was mates from the band The Dynamite which ”forced” us to do a swedish lyrics when we recorded our record with them….and it seems to have been appreciated.

We wanted to do more of the Swedish after this so me and Tobias and some member from The Dynamite have a band called Trubbel where we do some good old gothenburgpunk, myspace.com/trubbelgbg

Is it easier to do lyrics in English maybe?
Easier to have clicheés?
-It´s of course so that the english language have many oneliners and expression which is good to use. Another reason to write in English is that many more people understand what you sing about.
is there any good bands in Sweden right now?
-If you talk about punk so can I say the other bands on Alleycat Record…there is many goldbands.
Have you anything more than Close Enough?
-Except the CD so is it tow vinylrecords with songs from the record.

How have the reviews been this far?
-I´m very satisfied with the response but of course cannot everybody think this is a masterpiece but I think that the majority of the reviewers have been positive.

Do you care about reviews, which do you believe the most, the bad(if you had any) or the good and nice ones?
-We don´t care so much about reviews, we know that we have done a solid record and if we´re satisfied so doesn´t it matter what other people think.

What does the word punk mean to you, is it only a word or is it a lifestyle?
-Punk for me is that you do what you want to do and burn for and do that even if you´re not the best in the world on it.

Politics and music, does it goes hand in hand?
-Music is a really strong expression way and it can be used as political  management. I as a lyricwriter have chosen to write about more personal things and have not tried to take in political things into the songs.

The best political artist?
-As we said before we´re really neutral when it´s about politics.

Much interviews?Is it boring?
-It have become some but not so many so that we have got tired of them.

Which is the question you never get but you want to have; please ask it and answer it?
-How can you be so fresh?
- We drink a lot of Kir.

You will go out on a Europetour this autumn, where to and is it so that you by yourself or with some other band?

-The thought is that we will go on a europetour to Germany, Spain, France, Portugal in novemeber/december. The last time we was going with Electric Frankenstein but this tour we do ourselves.

Which is the biggest band you have played with?
Electric Frankenstein

Please rak your five favouriterecords, five favouriteconcerts and five most important things in life?
-N/A

The first, latest and the most expensive record you ever bought?
-The first I don´t remember. It can have been Humle and Dumle.

In the younger days so was I a little bit of a collector so I have surely some expensive rd vinyl with some obscure band.

The latest record was La Cucaracha with Ween I think.

The most embarrasing record in your collection?
-I don´t want to upset anyone.

Where do you stand when we talk about mp3 and downloading?
-I can admit that I have downlaoded some records but in the latest time it have become more and more Spotify…seems to be a good model.

Is it bad or good for you?
-It doesn´t matter for us, we´re too small in this business.

Futureplans for the band?
-Tour and to write new songs.

For yourself?
-Get myself a work(I have already been cut).

Wisdomword?
-It´s never too late to give up

Something to add?
-I want to thank SKRUTT for the interview.
