is back again!

Wow, this was a new record. I sent away some questions to Ztikkan 8.30 and the answers was in my mail one and a half hour after that. Iapsalma is back in serious business and that we understand this day in march 2006.

What made you start to play again?

-We have thought on this for a while but we have never came to that point. Now have we really made this come through.

Is it only for a while or will this be ”for ever”?

-One thing a time. We will see how it feels after this summers gigs.

Is it the same members as before?

-Yes, me (Ztikkan), Ulke, Stipen and Ponus

Have you done some new songs?

I read somewhere that if it is going to be rightwing government so will the punkwave to grow, what do you think about this?

-I absolutely think so. Historically it have been so every time the punk came.

Do we need a new punkwave?

-Need or need. It´s always nice. And it takes the punk foreward a bit every time musically.

What does punk mean to you, is it only a word or is it a lifestyle?

-Absolutely a lifestyle. And an attitude both to life and the community. An attitude against things and stuff. .

Is it nicer to play nowadays when it´s a little bit more underground? Was it too hysterical for a while? How did it felt playing in front of so much people?

-Hehehehe I don´t know if it is so much underground nowadays, the places we will play on is on festivals with a lot of people, yeah it was really hysterical for a while and that was actually one of the reasons why we quit or take a long a vacation in 10 years. To play in front of big audiences is fun and it´s the same happiness to play in front of much people as much as it is in front of small audiences but in another way, it can be really overwhelming.

What is the most peculiar you ”was forced” to do during the time you wer as most known?

-Pure autograpgsessions in recordstores felt really odd, what the hell is our autographs more worth than others. That way it felt! But one single thing which was happened was that we autographed the whole cover on an Epa Traktor( a car) in Kiruna.

What was the best and what was the worst thing then?

-The best was that you can live on your music. The worst thing was that people recognize you and we had a lot to do all the time. People who have hated you before wanted to buy beer to you.

Which is your own favouritesong with Diapsalma?

-Wow, no idea actually, there´s a lot of them I think

Birdnest did a good affair on you, have you contact with them? If you release something new is it that label who release it then?

-Yeah. We will release att doublecompilation this spring on Birdnest. And it will have almost everything that Dia have done.

How do you think musiclife in Sweden is today?

-Too much soapoperas. Fame Factory, Idol and similar makes the art lost it´s meaning, everything is about money and how you look, nothing about spiritual wellbeing, which I think is wrong. But the kids take it, so what can you do:).

Is there any good bands in Sweden right now?

-Wow, I haven´t so good check on this. Thåström, The Haunted, Cardigans to mix a little :)

Which is the most wellknown band you have been support act to and which is the most wellknown band which have been support act to you?

-Support act to: No idea. Support act to us:: ALL (USA), they´re know for us anyway:)

When you write/wrote songs, what is most important, to have a good lyrics, a good melody or to have a refrain that people remembers?

-All ingredients was/is important.

Who writes/wrote your songs, was it only one of you or did you do them together?

-Ulke and I write the lyrics. Then did Ulke the most of the music but we put it together in the rehearsalroom.

Which type of people comes to your concerts, is it stil really young people or is it mixed?

-Hehehehe, we don´t know yet. The first gig is on  Umeå Open in Umeå 24th of march.

Is it many interviews? Is it boring?

-Nyes, it starts to roll in now. No, a little bit boring sometimes but now it is OK this far.

Which is the question you never get but you want to have? Please ask it and answer it?

-The question you asked. Answer:The question you asked.....:)
