Den här boken rekommenderar jag verkligen för konceptet är helt underbart egentligen. Man ställer fram en back med skivor som på något sätt förknippar mycket av det den artisten har någon relation till och ibland finns det skivor som inte gör det. Det känns som om intervjuerna flyter på på ett annat sätt än vad det skulle göra annars och artisterna för gör någonting annat än de är vana vid.  Jag skall absolut inte avslöja något om saker i boken för det får ni läsa själva när ni köpt boken. Men Vem är rädd för Doors, Vem har provspelat för Poison, vem har aldrig hört talas om Johnny Thunders eller Thåström, Vem har råkat ut för förfärliga managers och vem tycker att Kiss är sopbandet från helvetet. Vilken kändnd hårdrocksstjärna blev inte igenkänd av Sweet. Vilka tycker själva att de är de första punkarna. Vem var Kiss förband till 1974.  Vilken rockmaffia åkte tunnelbana i Stockholm.  Vem har snott riff från Lou Reeds Sweet Jane? Vem har obehagliga minnen av Ray Davies från Kinks.  Vem eller vilka tycker att Eddie Meduza var punkare. Vilken grupp älskar Black and White med Stranglers. Allt detta och mycket mycket mer får du veta om du köper denna bok. En av de bästa rockböckerna som släppts tycker jag och den innefattar så många olika grupper och stilar så det finns något för alla att läsa om. Framförallt väldigt bra skrivet och det skulle vara kul om det kom en uppföljare till denna. Köp den med en gång annars missar ni årets julklapp och nästa års julklapp och året därefter. 7/11-2024

I really recommend this book because the concept is absolutely wonderful really. You put out a box of records that in some way associate a lot of what the artist has some relation to and sometimes there are records that don't. It feels like the interviews flow in a different way than it would otherwise and the artists do something different than they are used to. I will absolutely not reveal anything about things in the book because you will have to read it for yourself when you buy the book. But who's afraid of the Doors, who's auditioned for Poison, who's never heard of Johnny Thunders or Thåström, who's been through terrible managers and who thinks Kiss is the garbage band from hell. What a famous hard rock star was not recognized by Sweet. Who thinks themselves that they are the first punks. Who was Kiss the opening act to1974. What a rock mafia rode the subway in Stockholm. Who has snatched riffs from Lou Reed's Sweet Jane? Who has unpleasant memories of Ray Davies from the Kinks. Who thinks that Eddie Meduza was a punk. What group does llove Black and White by Stranglers. All this and much, much more you will find out if you buy this book. One of the best rock books ever released I think and it includes so many different groups and styles so there is something for everyone to read about. Above all, very well written and it would be fun if there was a sequel to this. Buy it right away otherwise you will miss this year's Christmas gift and next year's Christmas gift and the year after. 7/11-2024
