BicahunaS comes from Germany, have a female on the vocals and they´re really
good band in the vein of both anarchopunk and deutschpunk. Check them out
here and it´s the singer Jannine who have answered the questions. June-2015
Please tell me a little bit history of the
group?
-Bicahunas was founded in 2009. After many
funny sessions and gigs we released our first album “Zerstören und
Gestalten” in the year 2011. After some broken guitarstrings and drumsticks
we released the second Album “Entspannte Hysterie” in cooperation with three

Aldi Punk
Please tell me a little about every member
in the group right now, age, family, work, interests and something bad about
everyone? Earlier bands?
-At the next point we´re all full aged…
Jannine: vocals, I support old people in
their daily duties and help them to find back a good sense in life, have no
experience with other bands, I'm always on fire and likes concerts,
festivals, beer drinking in the sun and cycling. I like the summer, which is
too rare or not existing?
My favorite Bands in the moment,
Panzerband, Beyond Pink,
nazis fuck off
Stephan: Guitar. Is making music since his
puberty, he works for Red Cross and despite losing some of his hair he
haven´t become any wiser.
Madame: guitar and vocals, got his short
name because of his long hair which he made with soapsuds or just beer to a
respectable Iro.
Today the hair is gone, but the name is
still there. Embossed through his philosophy of life and his perspective of
life he became a musician by himself and was often seen on different
punkconcerts in his leisure time. Since two years he is suffering from
multiple sclerosis, which prevents him from working but not from living his
life. In addition he is the proud father of a one-year old girl.
Lars: bass and vocals, has experience with
different kinds of bands. His first band was a fun-punk-band named “Eat my
shorts” and so he found his love to punk. After collecting some experience
in other music-genre like grunge and oldschool-hardcore in 2013 he became a
member in “Bicahunas”. A confused but always reliable person.
Marco: Drums, our long-haired drummer, since may 2015, is making his
graduation to sound engineering
I can hear both deutschpunk and
anarchopunk in your music? Am I right? Favorites from the past?
-Rumors were afloat to this opinion about
our style!
We are inspired by bands from A to Z. From
north, east, south and west. Everything we heard somewhere or have seen live
was an inspiration to us. Especially the records on our turntable.
Everything is imitated but customized with
our own ideas.
BicahunaS are you satisfied with the
name?? How did it came up? What does it mean? Why the big S in the end of
the name? Which is the best bandname you know?
-Satisfied? We are always trying to cut
above.
BicahunaS is an imaginative word which is
inspired by the cult-movie “Pulp Fiction”. The big S rounds the logo out.
It’s no solid component of the logo.
The best bandname for us: Die toten
Crackhuren im Kofferraum (The dead crack whores in the cargo bay)
We think it´s time for us to rename our
band to be satisfied and make serious music… Everyone will be happy!
Hahahaha
What´s the best thing with playing live?
-Having fun with the audience
And where is best to play? And the worst
place?
-On grand openings of home improvement
stores, that´s the reason we never played on one.
How is to play this sort of music in
Germany right now? The difference from when you started to play and now?
-Here in Germany we have the chance to
focus our wrath on the injustice of our nation and get heard without fearing
the judicial consequences, which is not the normal case in other countries.
We watched the scene for a long time and
noticed that young people make their own scene rules to follow them, the
petty is that the spirit of punk will get lost with this rules. On long time
individuality will die. Strong rules can´t exist between autonomy and the
fundamental idea of punkrock.
There are many more young bands nowadays
which are touring though the social centers of Germany. Combining Metal,
HipHop and electro together. After the shows the beer flows like water that
will never change. Cheers!
How would you describe your music in three
words?
-Wild, wrathful and direct
What does punk mean to you, is it only a
word or is it a lifestyle?
-Definitely an attitude towards life
How do you see on downloading, mp3 and
that stuff?
-That´s definitely nothing for me. I love
it to hold a record in my hands and read the texts from the booklet.
Bands are spending a lot of money for
records and after that everything decays heartless condensed on a hard
drive.
Music belongs on to a turntable not inside
of a smartphone.
How is it to live in Germany now?
Politically?
-Things get dealt on other wises than they
are spoken and that fit´s nearly in every part of life, the banks and the
big concerns are playing strings with the politicians and no one say´s
anything. This inhuman and xenophobic point of view has no end.
Is there any good bands from Germany now?
Is the punkscene big? How is it in your hometown?
-In our hometown it seems to be okay. But
we are living in the “Ruhr valley” and this is a union of at least 30
cities, you can nearly see it as one. We have many big and small,
uncommercial clubs.
You can always choose where to go and
spend your evening. The punkscene is here very strong and growing.
What do you know about Sweden?
-On the map together with Norway and
Finland it looks like a lion.
And the capital is Stockholm!
Have you heard any good bands from Sweden?
-Of course, it seems that every citizien
of sweden has his own band and everyone is doing awesome music. It would
blast the frame of this interview so let´s name some of them: Refused, Asta
Kask, Beyond Pink, The Baboon Show and especially Abba
Your lyrics, who does them and what
influences you? Why not in English too(good I think, because I love the
german punklanguage)
-Jannine writes the lyrics. German is her
native language and so the best medium to speak clearly. Every day things
are influencing her and she responses the drawbacks.
Is there any subject that you never will
write anything about?
-I don´t want to determine a theme, maybe
one day I will write about it.
Politic and music, does it goes hand in
hand?
-Yes, of course.
Best political band/artist?
-International the Dead Kennedys with
Jello, and in Germany I would say Slime.
Do you think that music(lyrics and so on)
can change anyones life, I mean people who listens to music?
-Of course, i can´t speak for others but
when I was a child and I realized that there is something other than
radiomusic, it changed my life.
Your cover on your CD looks really nice,
is it important to have a record cover which shows people which type of
music you play? … Your favorite recordcover? Who does your covers?…
-At first I want to say thank you. The
cover is made by a cityknown punkartist, it isn´t my favorite cover but our
band is democratic. I think a cover should say something about the content
of the album. Especially in case of political music. A cover with swords and
dragons wouldn´t make any sense.
My favorite cover is from Mars Volta
“Frances the Mute” because the concept is fantastic. And the covers of Push
Head are also good.
Is it important to get out physical
records of your stuff? Why or why not?
-Oh yeah, I already answered this
question.
Please tell me a funny thing which have happened during your career and
under some gig?
-Oh, there are many funny things that
happen but it´s so difficult to write them down.
How does your audience look like? Which
people do you miss on your concerts? Which is the biggest band you ever have
played together with?
-We make music from the scene for the
scene.
I don´t know if they are well known in
Sweden, in the punkscene here they are „Skeptiker, Bambix, Cut my Skin,
TurbonegrA, Molotow Soda, Emils“
Please rank your five favoriterecords,
five favoriteconcerts and five most important things in life?
-My favorite listenings: Sex Pistols never
Mind the Bollocks, Blondie "Parallel Lines",
Black Sabbath "Paranoid", Stiff Litte
Fingers"Nobody Hereos", Slime"Schweineherbst"
My favorite concerts: Peter and the Test
Tube Babies"Hyde Park Osnabrück", Blondie "Roskilde Festival",
Hawkind"Enschede",Toy Dolls Ruhrpottrodeo, Motörhead "Area 4 Festival"
The five most important things in life:
Health, family, friends, my band, chocolate
Is it boring with interviews? Is it much
interviews?
-Not at all, but we are not answering
every interview.
Many of them we have not given, but some
of them.
If you could choose five bands from the
past and the history and nowadays and both dead and living bands to have a
concert together with your band. Which five have you been chosen?
-Iggy Pop and the Stooges
Motörhead
Joe Strummer
Ramones
Joan Jett
Is music a good way to get out frustration
and become a nice person outside the music??
-For me it is the best way
Which is the most odd question you ever have got in an interview?
-I don´t know, maybe this question!
;-)haha
Which is the question you want to have but you never get. Please ask it and
answer it?
-Don´t you want to play in Sweden? Yes, of
course.
Futureplans for the band?
-Never lose your goals and follow them.
For yourself?
-Becoming 150 years old.
Wisdomword?
-In english the logical meaning of these
words would be: “Do as it would be done!“
Something to add?
-Fanx in advance
No, everything is fine! Thank you!
