2016 var året då denna skiva kom ut första gången. Nu ger mitt tjeckiska favoritskivbolag en reissue på den. Att efter nästan 40 år på punkscenen kan man ju tro att ett band skulle låta trötta etc. Men det är inget för Slaughter and the Dogs att göra. Lika frisk punk som alltid när det gäller Slaughter and the Dogs. De har ju gjort många klassiker som Where have all the bootboys gone och Boston Babies. Men de låtarna är historia nu och de har fortsatt på samma spar och som sagt 38 år efter de låtarna så gav de ut denna skiva som är fylld med punkrockpärlor. Deras punkiga version av T:rex Get it on är riktigt bra och man marker att T:rex var prepunkare när det begav sig. Så ni som är rädda för att gubbarna har blivit trötta och lever kvar i bruset av Do it dog style kommer att bli mer än positivt överraskade för Vicious bygger vidare på det fantastiska Slaughter and the Dogs-soundet! 2016 was the year this record came out the first time. Now my czech favorite record label is giving out a reissue on it. That after almost 40 years on the punk scene, you might think that a band would sound tired, etc. But that's nothing for Slaughter and the Dogs to do. As fresh punk as ever when it comes to Slaughter and the Dogs. They've done a lot of classics like Where have all the bootboys gone and Boston Babies. But those songs are history now and they've continued on the same style and as I said 38 years after those songs, they released this record that's filled with punk rock gems. Their punky version of T:rex Get it on is really good and it is clear that T:rex was prepunks when it started. So you who are afraid that the old men have become tired and live on in the noise of Do it dog style will be more than pleasantly surprised because Vicious builds on the amazing Slaughter and the Dogs sound! 2005 spelades denna liveskiva in på Queens Hall i Manchester. De fokuserar på de gamla låtarna här och det kanske är rätt…lättare att få med sig en public då. Tänk på hur många bra låtar de har gjort egentligen eller vad sägs om Cranked Up really High, Hell in New York, Boston Babies och Where have all the boot boys gone. Det känns inte som om detta är några trötta gubbar som spelar punk för att tjäna en slant utan här är det grabbar/gubbar som vill visa folk när den bästa punken gjordes och de älskar det de gör. Helt okej ljud är det också! 6/3-07

This record was recorded in 2005 at Queens Hall i Manchester. They focus on the old songs and that´s maybe right….it´s easier to get an audience with you then. Think of how many good songs they have done or what to say about songs like Cranked Up really High, Hell in New York, Boston Babies and Where have all the boot boys gone. It doesn´t feels like if this is some old men which is playing punk just to earn some money because this is mates/old men which wants to show people when the best punk was done and they love what they do.Really OK sound also. 6/3-07

Ojojoj….inte egentligen så mycket att säga om den här skitskivan. Skojade bara , den här skivan är en världens bästa skivor och Slaughter and the Dogs var ett av punkens bästa namn. I´m waiting for the man, Where have all the boot boys Gone, Cranked up really high och Boston Babies. Vem kan säga emot när man radar upp dessa hits…inte många egentligen. Deras tidiga punk var en blandning av tidig punkrock och en liten del pubrock men punken tog överhanden och de var länken mellan skins och punks. De försökte spela hårdrock på en skiva men kom sedan tillbaks till punken igen…..en klassiker 5/10-06

Wow…not so much to say about this shitrecord. I was only joking, this record is among the worlds best records and Slaughter and the Dogs was one of punk´s best names. I´m waiting for the man, Where have all the boot boys Gone, Cranked up really high and Boston Babies. Who can say anything against this when I say all these songs and hits…not so many. Their early punk was a mix between an early punkrockstyle and a little small part of pubrock but punkrock was the thing which take over and they was the link between punk and skins. They tried to play heavy metal on one record later but they came back to punk again…a classic record.5/10-06

En mycket trevlig sak det här. Slaughter and the Dogs samlade singlar, kan det bli bättre i punkvärlden, ja det är svårt att säga. Men med låtar som Cranked up really high, Where have all the booyboys gone och Dame to blame så är det svårt att misslyckas. Roligt att höra Studio Sweethearts också där de har utvecklat sitt sound till lite poppigare stil. Som bonus avslutas skivan med några akustiska versioner och skivan är inte bara till för riktiga fans utan för punkdiggare i allmänhet 15/11-00

A very nice things this. Slaughter and the Dogs all singles and can it be better in the punkworld, yeah it´s difficult to say. But with songs like  Cranked up really high, Where have all the booyboys gone and Dame to blame so is it difficult to fail. It´s fun to hear Studio Sweethears also where they have gone to a poppier style. As a bonus does the record have some acoustic verisons of their songs and this is not only for the real fans because I think 15/11-00

En underbar skiva detta. Med låtar som Now I know, Crashing Out with Lucy och Hell in New York som gjorde Slaughter(and the dogs) två klassiker. Jag skulle nog kunna säga att den här skivan också tillhör klassiker som varje riktig punkare måste ha i sin samling. Det handlar egentligen inte så mycket om rå punk utan mer om rockig sådan men ack så bra  8/6-00

It´s a wonderful records this. With songs like Now I know, Crashing Out with Lucy and Hell in New York  did s Slaughter(and the dogs) two classic albums. I can say that this record belongs to the all fifty top records in the punkworld and this record all real punks must have in their collection of good punk records. It´s not so much about raw punk but it´s more about raw rock and it´s so fuckin good   8/6-00
