Same old song är en hitlåt och Pain fortsätter i samma goa stil som förut, vägvinnande stil för den här typen av electrometal med gothinfluenser är mycket trevlig att lyssna till. Mycket låtar som anspelar på död som Don´t count me out, Not afraid to die, Dancing with the dead, A good day to die osv. Jag kanske är lättlurad och naiv men jag gillar sådan här metal mycket för den känns mäktig på något vis och den är lätt att ta till sig men som kritiker så skall man såga ner på allt som är lite kommersiellt och hylla det som är kulturellt och annorlunda. Fortsätt så här Peter…..Singeln Same old song innehåller Trapped som inte finns med på fullängdaren är en tung låt som egentligen skulle ha haft en plats på fullängdaren. (ÅTTA) 3/2-05

Same old song is a hit song and Pain continue in the same good style, winning style because this style of electrometeal mixed with gothinfluences is very nice to listen to. Many songs which is about death as Don´t count me out, Not afraid to die, Dancing with the dead, A good day to die and so on. I maybe easy to cheat or naïve but I really like this sort of metal because it feels mighty in some way and it´s easy to take it to yourself but as a reviewer you should write down everything which is commercial and let the things which is cultural and hard to understand be the good thing.Continue this way…..The single Same old song have Trapped on the “b-side” which isn´t on the fullengthalbum and it´s a heavy song which should have their place on the fullength.(EIGHT) 3/2-05
PAIN-NOTHING REMAINS THE SAME(CD-STOCKHOLM RECORDS 016-095 2) Peter Tägtgren har med sitt Pain funnit en ganska egen stil tycker jag. Det är klart att man kan dra paralleller till Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Rammstein och alla de andra grupperna som blandar hårdrock och synth. Draget att ta med Eleonor Rigby är genialt tycker jag. En del kanske kommer att störa sig på sången som låter som han har förvridit rösten ibland men han finner melodier i allt och i några av låtarna har han fått med stråkar och det låter jävligt fräckt.(ÅTTA) 6/2-02 PAIN-NOTHING REMAINS THE SAME(CD-STOCKHOLM RECORDS 016-095 2) Peter Tägtgren have with his Pain have found a really own style but of course can you hear elements from Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Rammstein and all the other groups which mix heavy metal and synthmusic. The thing to take Eleonor Rigby on this record is really genious. Some people will maybe think his voice sounds not so cool with the way he sounds but he finds melodies in everything he does and he have put violins in some fo the songs and that´s really cool(EIGHT) 6/2-02
