GARY NUMAN-JAGGED(CD-MACHINE MUSIC MORTALCD001/AMIGO) Jag minns när Gary Numan hade sitt Tubeway Army och efter det släppte låtar som Cars, Dwon in the Park. Då var det ren synthmusik det handlade om. Han har kanske inte gått ifrån det så mycket och hans röst är lika mystisk som förut men han har utvecklats, helt klart. Nu när Depeche Mode är så stora så känns det inte rättvist att inte Gary har rönt samma uppmärksamhet för hans musik kanske är inte är precis som deras men beröringspunkter finnes helt klart. Men där Depeche var glättiga och melodiösa där har Gary tyngden och det depressiva. Denna skiva är en ganska dämpad historia på typiskt Numan-manér och helt klart en av hans bättre.(SJU) 15/3-06 |

Then it was pure synthmusic it was all about. Ha have not gone from that and his voice is as mystic as it was before but I think he´s developed really much. Now when Depeche Mode is so big it feels not so fair that Gury haven´t been the same because his music isn´t the same thing as theirs but there is things which is the same in their music. And there Depeche is easy to get to to you and are happy and melodic, there have Gary the heaviness and the depressive parts. This record is a really reduced in typical Numan-styled music and it´s one of his better ones.(SEVEN) 15/3-06 |

GARY NUMAN-SCARRED(2 CD EAGLE RECORDS EDGCD 242/PLAYGROUND) Den här skivan kändes lite spännande för jag har nog aldrig hört Gary Numan live. Den här skivan spelades in år 2000 när Numan var ut på sin Pure-turné. 22 ,låtar inspelade på Brixton Academy. Självklart blir det mycket låtar från Pureskivan men gamla favoriter som Cars, Metal, Are friends electric och Down in the Park fick plats på denna skiva. Ljudet är mycket bra tycker jag och det var en överraskning för mig att Numans musik kunde låta så bra live. Alla ni som säger er gilla synthmusik och inte har hört Gary Numan får investera i detta med en gång. För Numans musik är en blandning av tyngd och melodier och Numans karakteristiska röst.(SJU) 10/4-03 |
GARY NUMAN-SCARRED(2 CD EAGLE RECORDS EDGCD 242/PLAYGROUND) This record was a little exciting to put on because I have never heard Gary Numan live. This record was recorded year 2000 when Numan was out on tour for the record Pure. 22 songs recorded at Brixton academy. Of course it´s many songs from the Purerecord but old favourites like Cars, Metal, Are friends electric and Down in the Park is on this record too. The sounds is very good I think and it was a surprise that Numans music could sound so good live. All you people who says you like synthmusic and not have heard Gary Numan must invest in this immediately. När han nu ger ut en greatest hits igen så är det alltid lika trevligt att höra honom. Det känns som om han är upphov till mycket som Depeche Mode har gjort nu på senare tid. Han var egentligen först med lite tuffare synthmusik och vågade att utmana lite grand och det var ju alltid roligt. Han gjorde ju en ny skiva för några år sedan och den var ju riktigt bra. Här får vi gamla favoriter som Cars, Are Friends electric?, Down in the park, We are glass och en hel drös med andra skitbra låtar. NUMAN,GARY-PURE(CD-EAGLE EAGCD 078/PLAYGROUND) Det var många år sedan man hörde något från denne skumme man. Då handlade det om lite tuffare synthmusik med låtar som Cars och andra tuffare saker. Han blev lite snällare med åren efter Cars och de låtarna och att hans nya skiva skulle låta så här blev en positiv överraskning. Här ligger han i samma fåra som senare Depeche Mode, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails för at nämna några band.
