NO TURNING BACK-RISE FROM THE ASHES(CD-REFLECTIONS RECORDS RFL 068) Det här omslaget var så likt en grupp som heter No Choice så att jag trodde at Reflections hade skickat en skiva som jag redan hade. No Turning Back spelar en typisk Reflections-musik för deras tuffa hardcore/straightedge liknande musik är riktigt tuff och helt klart är detta en typ av musik som verkligen berör. De 9 låtarna kör över oss i ett mördande tempo och grabbarna är arga, inte tu tal om annat men det känns som om de gör detta med en viss distans på något sätt. Tänker på gamla band som Minor Threat blandat med Discharge för att säga något.(SJU) 1/9-05 |

No Turning Back plays a typical Reflectionsstyled music because their tough hardcore/straightedge similar music is really tough and really obvious is that this is music which touches, The 9 songs drives over us in a murdering style and the guys are angry, nothing to talk about there but it feels like if they have some sort of distance with the things they do. NO TURNING BACK/THE DEAL(MINI-CD REFLECTIONS 039) En liten splitskiva mellan två unga holländska hardcoreband. Först ut är No Turning Back som spelar tung hardcore. De har blandat in lite hårdrock i sin musik men det är inget som stör för deras stil av hardcore är riktigt behaglig om nu hardcore kan vara det. Det enda jag känner är att låtarna känns lite för korta och har ett abrupt slut. The Deal spelar då en mycket snabbare stil av hardcore med det lite mer desperata sjungandet. Riktigt trevligt i små doser för sådan här desperation var det länge sedan man hörde.(SJU) 11/12-03 |
NO TURNING BACK/THE DEAL(MINI-CD REFLECTIONS 039) A little splitrecord between two young dutch hardcorebands. First out is No Turning Back which plays heavy hardcore. They have mixed in some heavy metal in their music but that´s not disturbing their style of hardcore and it´s really beautiful to hear it. The only thing I feel is that the record and songs are too short and they have a abrupt ending. The Deal plays a much faster style of hardcore and have the more desperate singing. Really nice in small dozes because this type of desperation it was a long time since I heard.(SEVEN) 11/12-03 |
