NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE-BRIEF IS THE LIGHT(CD-M & O MUSIC )

Jag vet inte om de har tagit sitt namn efter Cro-Mags skivan och det är ju inte intressant. Bandet bildades i Frankrike 2022. En vacker inledning gör att stämningen byggs upp. Det blir inte sämre när sångerskans röst kommer in i ljudbilden och jag är väldigt svag för musik som den här. Ni vet gothmetal med tjej på sång. Många kanske tycker att den genren är urvattnad men jag gillar blandningen av det vackra gentemot det lite tuffare. Mycket melodier bjuds vi också på och det är ju aldrig fel. Kanske inte när upp till Nightwish, Within Temptation och liknande men inte långt ifrån och de är på god väg att nå dit upp. Jag menar inte att de låter som dem men det är klart att det finns liknelser eftersom de säkert har ungefär samma influenser i botten för det är ju inte en genre som är jättestor men värd att kolla in om ni missat denna stil. Det som kanske kunde gjort de mer egna hade varit om de sjungit på franska istället för på engelska. Men ni som är inne på de banden jag nämnde borde verkligen kolla upp Near Death Experience för ni kommer inte att bli besvikna.  18/3-2024

I don ́t know if they have taken their name after Cro-Mags record and that ́s not interesting. The band was formed in France in 2022. A beautiful introduction builds the atmosphere. It doesn ́t get worse when the singer's voice comes into the sound and I ́m very weak for music like this. You know goth metal with a girl on vocals. Many may think that the genre is watered down but I like the mix of the beautiful versus the slightly tougher. We are also offered a lot of melodies and that ́s never wrong. Maybe not up to Nightwish, Within Temptation and the like but not far away and they ́re on their way to get up there. I don ́t mean that they sound like them but it ́s clear that there are similarities because they surely have about the same influences in the bottom because it´s  not a genre which is huge but it ́s worth checking out if you missed this style. What might have made them more own would have been if they had sung in French instead of in English. But you who are into the bands I mentioned should really check out Near Death Experience because you will not be disappointed. 18/3-2024
