NABAT-ARCHIVIO VOL 1 & VOL 2(CD-ANSALDI RECORDS ANS004/ANS007)

Grabbarna i den gamla italienska punkgruppen Nabat har lagt av med den här gruppen för länge sedan men de var så snälla att de skicka sina två samlingsskivor som de har gett ut som är fyllda med musik. Det är eps och demotejper som har gjort grunden till vol 1 och det fanns skivor som hette Skins & punks och Laida Bologna där 6 av låtarna kommer ifrån. Italiensk tidig punk brukar ju vara synonymt med tuff hardcore men här är det mer tuff punk som är grejen och Nabat gjorde på det tidiga 80-talet en hel del bra låtar som visas upp på vol 1. Inte så långt ifrån vad engelsmännen pysslade med och lyssna på basen i Generazione 82 och jag tänker på Blitz och Exploited där…skitbra! Till och med lite reggae har letat sig in i en låt som Shock delle case. På Vol 2 är det väl lite bättre ljud men också lite poppigare saker men det är absolut inte dåligt och Nabat är en grupp som jag skulle vilja ha sett på den tiden det begav sig. Det känns lite som om de hade samma utveckling som Blitz utan att spela synthmusik. På tvåan har de också anammat reggae och det blir nästan lite som Clash på Sandinista på en låt som Marto´!. Men det blir lite väl mycket 50-tals aktig rock n roll i slutet av skivan. 19/11-2010

NABAT-ARCHIVIO VOL 1 & VOL 2(CD-ANSALDI RECORDS ANS004/ANS007)

The guys in the old Italian punkgroup Nabat have quit playing with this group a long while ago but they was so kind that they sent me two of their compilations which they have released with a lot of music. This is eps and demotapes which have done the ground to vol 1 and there was records called Skins & Punks and Laida Bologna there 6 of the songs comes from. Italian early punk is often the same thing as tough hardcore but here it´s more tough punk which is the thing and Nabat did in the 80´s a whole lot of good songs which they shows us on vol 1. Not so far away what the Englishmen did and listen to the bass in Generazione 82 and I think of groups like Blitz and Exploited…fucking good! And some reggae have found their place into the record on Shock delle case. On Vol 2is it a little bit better sound quality but also a little bit poppier but it´s absolutely not bad and Nabat is a group which I would like to have seen when it was that time. It feels like if they had the same change as Blitz in some way but without the synthstyle.On the second record have they also some reggaetunes and it becomes almost as Clash on Sandinista on a song like Marto´!.  But it becomes too much 50´s rock n roll in the end of the record. 19/11-2010
