MUDHONEY-THE LUCKY ONES(CD-SUBPOP SPCD765/BORDER) Det finns inte många band kvar sedan den första grungevågen på 90-talet men Mudhoney är en av de grupperna. Kanske inte så att de spelar grunge längre utan här är det en ganska ordinär rockplatta som det handlar om tycker jag nog mer. Jag kan höra tidiga grupper som Who, Stones likväl som hårdrocksinfluenser och allt detta blandat med punk och grunge. Även om alla dessa influenser finns här så har de faktiskt fått till ett ganska eget sound och jag tycker nog att det är ett ganska fräckt sound. Tätt sound på något sätt och jag kan nog inte egentligen få till något band som liknar Mudhoney och detta utan att spela helkonstig musik. (SEX) 24/6-08 |
MUDHONEY-THE LUCKY ONES(CD-SUBPOP SPCD765/BORDER) There isn´t so many bands left from the grungewave in the 90´s but Mudhoney is one of these groups. It´s not so much grunge anymore and this is really ordinary rockmusic It´s all about I think. I can hear early groups like Who, Stones and I hear heavymetalinfluences and all this mixed with punk and grunge. Even if all these influences is here so have they actually got an own sound and I think that it´s a really own sound and cool sound. I cannot say which band they´re similar too but there isn´t any band which is like Mudhoney and that without sounding odd in any way.(SIX) 24/6-08 |

MUDHONEY-UNDER A BILLIONS SUNS(SUBPOP ADVSP 700/BORDER) Jag trodde att Mudhoney hade slutat för många år sedan men de har levt ett liv i skymundan, i alla fall från mig. Nu är de tillbaks med Under a Billion Suns och de räknas som grunge i min Real Player. Existerar verkligen den musikstilen ännu? Men visst jag kan gå med på den beskrivningen om vi med grunge menar skitig punkig rock n roll så är det säkert en rättvis beskrivning på Mudhoney också. För de röjer verkligen på i sin musik och här finns säkert influenser från punk, garagerock och indie men vi är ganska förskonade från hårdrock.(SJU) 27/3-06 |
MUDHONEY-UNDER A BILLIONS SUNS(SUBPOP ADVSP 700/BORDER) I thought that Mudhoney had stopped playing many years ago but they have lived a life in the underground, anyway for me. Now they´re back with Under a Billion Suns and they´re counted as grunge in my Real Player. Exist that musicstyle nowadays too? But sure I can go along wit that description if we with grunge means messy and dirty punky rock n roll so is surely the right description on Mudhoney also. Because they really give the iron and here we surely influences from punk, garagerock and indie but we´re not having so much heavy metal.(SEVEN) 27/3-06 |
