MR IRISH BASTARD-THE WORLD THE FLESH & THE DEVIL(CD REEDO RECORDS)

Riktigt roliga låttitlar på denna skiva eller vad sägs om I hope they sell beer in hell, That Bitch drank my whiskey för att nämna några… Sådan här musik är alltid svår att motstå eftersom det är så pass svängigt som den är och visst har vi hört det förr med grupper som Pogues, the Men they couldn´t hang etc men jag blir aldrig trött på denna typ av folkpunk eller vad man skall kalla den. Som alltid är säkert den här typen av musik ännu bättre live och Mr Irish Bastard är säkert inget undantag men jag tycker att de har fixat detta ypperligt och fått in livekänslan i sina låtar och lyssna bara på en låt som Ballad of a workshy man och hur bra det är-…så snabbt det går men så mycket melodier som skapas. Man vill bara dansa och det är inte vanligt att jag vill men jag menar kanske hoppa omkring alldeles vilt och Mr Irish Bastard seglar upp till ett favoritband nu. Monsters in the light är en låt jag får lite Midnight Oil-feeling på. 26/6-2015

Really funny song titles on this record or how about I Hope They sell beer in hell, that bitch dregs my whiskey to name a few ... This kind of music is always hard to resist because it is so catchy as it is and we have certainly heard it sooner with groups Pogues, the Men they couldn't hang etc but I never get tired of this kind of folk punk or what to call it. As always, surely this kind of music even better live, and Mr. Irish Bastard is certainly no exception but I think they've fixed this excellent and got the live feel of their songs and just listen to a song Ballad of a workshy man and how good it is- ... as quickly as possible but so much melodies created. You just want to dance and it is not common that I want but I mean maybe jump around too wildly and Mr. Irish Bastard sail up to a favorite band now. Monsters in the light is a song which I get a little bit Midnight Oil-feeling on.  26/6-2015

Att göra om hela Never mind the Bollocks till folkmusik med punktouch är kanske ett mästerverk. Man märker ganska fort att det inte är så stor skillnad på folkmusik och Sex Pistols när man lyssnar på denna skivan. Det känns ganska eget på samma gång som det faktiskt låter ganska mycket som originalet trots att många instrument skiljer grupperna åt men folkmusik och punk har nog ganska många gemensamma nämnare faktiskt. Så jag kanske inte skall säga att detta är det bästa jag hört på länge men jag tycker om idén i alla fall. Kolla in om ni gillar folkpunk….Jag undrar bara varför inte Paul Cook är tackad på skivan när de andra tre i Pistols är tackade. 27/10-2011

To do the whole Never mind the Bollocks to folkmusic with punktouch is maybe a masterpiece. You notice really fast that it isn´t so much difference between folkmusic and Sex Pistols when you listen to this record. It feels really own in the same time as it actually sounds a lot like the original even if many instruments isn´t the same but folkmusic and punkrock have more similarities than we knew actually. So I cannot maybe say that this is the best record I have heard in a long time but I like the idea anyway. Check this out if you like folkpunk…I wonder only why not Paul Cook is on the thanklist when the other three in Pistols are thanked. 27/10-2011
