MIESHA AND THE SPANKS-UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IN HI-FI(CD-MINT RECORDS)

Jag gillar verkligen deras sound. Så tufft på ett snyggt sätt och lyssna bara på låten Mom Jeans/Mom Genes för den låter som om Miss Li skulle spela med ett punkband som kompband eller något sådant. Den är skönt distad på något sätt och det är svårt att inte gilla den. White Stripes någon? Det är inte så att de på något sätt är ett plagiat på dem men det finns beröringspunkter och det är en riktigt skön skiva. Tänk att det kan låta och Mieshas röst är ju superb till denna distade musik och ger en dimension som behövs och jag kan inte finns så mycket superlativer för gruppen för det är de verkligen värda att få. De borde kunna få många mer lyssningar och i låten I Can´t wait tänker jag lite på tidiga Sahara Hotnights och det är verkligen en komplimang. Så som sagt gilalr ni någon av de grupper jag nämnt så kommer ni inte att bli besvikna på Miesha and the Spanks och deras attityd…så jävla bra!  29/3-2023

I really like their sound. So tough in a nice way and just listen to the song Mom Jeans/Mom Genes because it sounds like Miss Li is playing with a punk band as a backing band or something. It's nicely distorted in a way and it's difficult not to like it. White Stripes anyone? It's not that they are in any way a plagiarism of them but there are points of contact and it's a really nice record. Think that it can sound and Miesha's voice is superb to this distorted music and gives a dimension that is needed and I can't find so many superlatives for the group because they really deserve it. They should be able to get many more listeners and in the song I Can´t wait I think a bit of early Sahara Hotnights and that is really a compliment. So like I said, if you like any of the groups I mentioned, you won't be disappointed with Miesha and the Spanks and their attitude...so damn good! 29/3-2023

Två stycken är antalet medlemmar i Miesha and the Spanks…Det gör inget för det later mycket bra ändå. 7 låtar av yppersta klass och jag får en känsla av en del andra grupper men kan inte peka precis på vilka grupper jag tänker på men det jag vet är i alla fall att Miesha sjunger riktigt bra. Hon har mycket attityd i sin röst och attityd är ju något som musiken har också. Har svårt att förstå att det bara är två medlemmar men det finns ju mer exempel på grupper med två personer som White Stripes, Johnossi som låter mycket de med. Mycket melodier, attityd och riktigt bra låtar blandas med distad music och det gör i alla fall mig jävligt glad.Ta en dos punk, en dos garagerock och en dos med attityd och ni har Miesha and the Spanks perfekt beskrivna…enligt mig i alla fall. 8/4-2021

MIESHA AND THE SPANKS-SINGLES EP(CD/BITE IT PROMOTION)

Two are the number of members in Miesha and the Spanks… It does not matter because it sounds very good anyway. 7 songs of the highest class and I get a feeling from some other groups but can not point out exactly which groups I am thinking of but what I do know is that Miesha sings really well. She has a lot of attitude in her voice and attitude is something that music also has. Has a hard time understanding that there are only two members, but there are more examples of groups with two people like White Stripes, Johnossi who sounds a lot of them too. A lot of melodies, attitude and really good songs are mixed with distorted music and that at least makes me damn happy. Take a dose of punk, a dose of garage rock and a dose of attitude and you have Miesha and the Spanks perfectly described… in my opinion anyway . 8/4-2021
