ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-HAVE ANOTHER BALL(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 729-2) MFATGG har alltid varit ett partyband och fortsätter att vara det med sin glada punkrock av gamla kända och okända låtar. På den här skivan lyckas de få till två av mina favoritlåtar och de kör på dem som vanligt i ett riktigt bra tempo och ger de en hjälpande hand att bli riktigt bra på deras speciella sätt. The Boxer och The harder they come är de två favoritlåtarna. Andra kända låtar här är Country Roads och Don´t let the sun go down on me och de har verkligen fått till Country Roads för det är en låt som jag tidigare hatade.(SJU) 4/7-08

On this record have they also two of my favouritesongs and they do them in their special way in a good tempo and they give an helping hand to make them really good in their special way. The Boxer and The harder they come is the songs. Other well known songs here is Country Roads and Don´t let the sun go down on me and they have really make Country Roads to be a song which is really good because I hated it before.(SEVEN) 4/7-08

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-LOVE THEIR COUNTRY(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 712-2) Här spelar vi country med låtar av Garth Brooks, John Denver, Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson osv och vi som har hört gruppen förut vet att det brukar vara ganska kul och ganska habilt och det är inget undantag här. Det går nästan alltid fort och musikaliskt är de helt underbara. Lyssna bara på Ghost riders in the sky eller Jolene så fattar ni vad jag menar. Visst kan man undra vad en sådan här skiva är bra för egentligen. För förutom att den är kul så är den ganska onödig men de här killarna älskar verkligen vad de gör och verkar ha kul och det är väl det som punk handlar om.(SJU) 26/10-06

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-LOVE THEIR COUNTRY(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 712-2) Here we plays country with songs from Garth Brooks, John Denver, Hank Williams, Kris Kristofferson and so on and we who have heard the group before knows that it use to be fun and really habile and that´s not a conclusion here. It goes almost always fast and musically they´re really wonderful. Listen to Ghost riders in the Sky or Jolene and you understand what I mean. Sure you can wonder what a record like this must be done. Because except that it is fun it's really unnecessary maybe but they really love what they do and they seems to have fun and that it is what punk is about.(SEVEN) 26/10-06

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-RUIN JONNYS BAR MITZVAH(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 674-2) Ni vet vad deras musik handlar om, det är punk, det är covers och det är att ha roligt. Denna gång har de tydligen spelat in live på något sätt och de verkar helt klart ha kul. Denna gång är det bland andra Heart of Glass, Strawberry Fields Forever, Always on My mind som får sin behandling av gruppen. Som alltid roligt och trevligt när de spelar och jag kan tänka mig att live är gruppen något extra. Det här är ju något att spela för kompisen som inte gillar punk för här känner den igen sig i låtvalet och efter det kanske man kan få in dem på punk. (SJU) 15/10-04

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-RUIN JONNYS BAR MITZVAH(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 674-2) You know what their music is all about, it´s punk, it´s covers and it´s about having fun. This time they have obvisiously recorded live in some way and they seem to have fun. This timer it´s among other songs Heart of Glass, Strawberry Fields Forever, Always on My mind which is getting their treatment of the group. Always fun and nice when they play and I can imagine that the group is something special live. This is something to play for the mate who don´t like punk because here they can recognize themselves in the song choice and after that you can maybe get them into punk.(SEVEN) 15/10-04

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-TAKE A BREAK(CD-FAT WRECK CHORDS FAT 650-2) De har jävligt snygga byxor på baksidan av skivan och på den vägen är det. Den här gruppen gör mig alltid glad med sina covers på punkvis av kända och okända låtar, här får vi covers på bland annat Nothing compares 2 you, Where do broken hearts go och Isn´t she lovely för att nämna några låtar. Som partyhöjare är denna skiva perfekt men det kanske inte är något man sätter på för att det är så jävla bra. Men jag kanske skall ändra min uppfattning där för de gör ofta låtarna på ett sådant sätt så att de blir så mycket bättre än originalet och det skall de ha en stor eloge för.(SJU) 4/7-03

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES-TAKE A BREAK(CD-FAT WRECK CHORDS FAT 650-2) They have really nice pants on the backside of the record and on that way it is. This group makes me always happy with their covers in a punkway of both known and not so wellknown songs, here we got covers of songs like Nothing compares 2 you, Where do broken hearts go and Isn´t she lovely just to mention some. As a partyrising CD this record is perfect but that´s not maybe because of the fact that this is so fucking good. But I will change my opinion about that because they often do the songs in a way so it´s so much better than the original and they must have much credits for that.(SEVEN) 4/7-03

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES- BLOW IN THE WIND(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 620-2/BORDER) Det här är kul, riktigt kul. Det är absolut inget nytt och revolutionerande men det är kul att lyssna på och framförallt gruppen verkar ha haft kul. Vad handlar det då om, jo en punkgrupp som gör covers på andras låtar, kända som okända. Bra versioner bjuds vi allt som oftast på av Blowin in the Wind(Dylan), Sloop John B(Beach Boys), Stand by your man, I only wnat to be with you och Ruanaway för att nämna några. Kul festmusik men absolut inget nytt under månens sken(SJU) 6/3-01

ME FIRST AND THE GIMME GIMMES- BLOW IN THE WIND(CD-FAT WRECK FAT 620-2/BORDER) This is fun, really fun but it´s abolutely nothing new and revolting but it´s fun to litsen to it and it seems like the group have fun too, What´s it´s all about then, yeah, it´s a punkgroup who do covers on other groups songs, known and not so wellknown. Good versions of songs like Blowin in the Wind(Dylan), Sloop John B(Beach Boys), Stand by your man, I only wnat to be with you and Ruanaway to mention some of the music. Funny partymusic but aboslutely nothing new under the moonshine(SEVEN) 6/3-01
