MARKELIUS, NIKE-GLITTER TILL GLÖD(2 LP-ERIK AXL SUND EAS 024)

Oj vad jag blev glad när jag fick denna tunga dubbel LP hemskickad från skivbolaget. 14 låtar fördelade på 2 LP-skivor med riktigt bra ljud. Det är en blandad kompott av låtar men alltid med Nikes lite speciella röst. Love Spider innehåller nästan en T:rex-liknande gitarr, titellåten Glitter till Glöd har en proggig feeling liksom Utan att spilla som faktiskt inleds med en Doors-orgel känns det som. Jag älskar ju låten Vintersaga med Monica Törnell och i Född Fri har Nike gjort en egen sådan. Några låtar har hon översatt och Vingar är en sådan låt som Patti Smith faktiskt har gjort. I Miljonprogrammet är det mer rak rock som gäller och jag får faktiskt en Imperiet-känsla i denna låt. Den låten har en rakare text också och inte så inlindad textmässigt som en del av de andra låtarna kan vara. I Raw Bite låter Nike lite förbannad och sjunger snyggt och argt på samma gång. Den tunga inledningen på Inget Bröllop gillar jag verkligen och just den låten tenderar till att bli bästa spåret på skivan. Sida D är den lugna sidan på skivan och det känns som en värdig avslutning. Trots att jag har nämnt en massa olika band och artister så kör Nike sitt eget race och är en av de bättre artisterna i rock-Sverige idag! 2/5-2019

Oh what I become happy when I got this heavy double LP sent home from the record company. 14 songs distributed on 2 LPs with really good sound. It is a mixed compote of songs but always with Nike's special voice. Love Spider contains almost a T: rex-like guitar, the title song Glitter till Glöd has a progressice feeling as well as in Utan att spilla which actually begins with a Doors organ it feels like. I love the song Vintersaga with Monica Törnell and Nike has made his own in Född Fri. She has translated some songs and Vingar is such a song that Patti Smith has actually done. In Miljonprogrammet, it is more straight rock that applies and I actually get an Imperiet feeling in this song. That song has a smoother text as well and not so wrapped in text as some of the other songs can be. In Raw Bite, Nike sounds a little pissed and sings neatly and angry at the same time. I really like the heavy introduction on Inget Bröllop, and that particular song tends to be the best track on the album. Side D is the quiet side of the record and it feels like a worthy ending. Although I have mentioned a lot of different bands and artists, Nike do her own race and is one of the better artists in rock-Sweden today! 2/5-2019
