LION´S LAW-THE PAIN, THE BLOOD AND THE SWORD(LP-HFMN LION 016)

Det är alltid lite jobbigt med band som ser ut som skinheads tycker jag och om man vet eller inte om de är ett RAC-band eller inte eftersom de snodde den riktiga skinheadskulturen på 70-80-talet. Efter vad jag har läst är detta motsatsen. De har varit med i band som Burning Heads, Komintern Sect etc efter vad jag förstår och det är ju bra band. Deras influenser enligt deras FB-sida är Cock Sparrer, Rejects och våra egna Perkele till exempel. Street punk är vad som bjuds och kanske inte så överraskande. De kommer ju från Frankrike men sjunger på engelska och man hör att deras influenser finns där de utlovade men jag tycker kanske att de är lite hårdare än de banden de nämnde. Riktigt bra melodier i deras låtar ackomapnjeras av en sångare som verkligen är rätt för gruppen med sin aggressiva röst och som passar in till deras tuffa streetpunk. Jag hade aldrig hört gruppen men blev riktigt glad nu när jag fick chansen att höra denna vinyl-LP. Så varför inte låna ett öra eller två till att lyssna in er på Lion´s Law om ni är inne på banden som har nämnts. Då kommer ni inte att bli besvikna för då blir jag besviken på er! Jag blir sugen på att höra deras gamla plattor nu! 20/5-2020

It is always a bit difficult with bands that look like skinheads, and whether you know whether or not they are a RAC band or not because they took the real skinhead culture in the 70-80s. From what I've read, this is the opposite. They have been in bands like Burning Heads, Komintern Sect etc as far as I understand and they are good bands. Their influences according to their FB page are Cock Sparrer, Rejects and our own Perkele for example. Street punk is what's on offer and maybe not so surprising. They come from France but they sing in English and you hear that their influences are where they promised but I think they are a bit tougher than the bands they mentioned. Really good melodies in their songs are accompanied by a singer who is really right for the group with their aggressive voice and who fits in with their tough street punk. I had never heard the group but was really happy now when I got the chance to hear this vinyl LP. So why not lend an ear or two to listen to you on Lion´s Law if you are in to the bands mentioned. Then you will not be disappointed because if you don´t then I will be disappointed in you! I'm getting excited to hear their old records now! 20/5-2020
