LIBERTINES-LIBERTINES(CD-ROUGH TRADE RTRADCDP 166/BORDER) Libertines är ju ett band som blivit rejält uppskrivna i media efter förra skivan. Jag kan till viss del förstå detta för deras musik är riktigt bra. Fylld av rockklichéer på ett positivt sätt. Här finns Clash, Doors, soul, punk och rock. De blandar friskt men de har alltid en go attityd till musiken och låter lite sådär lagom kaxiga. Här finns låtar som går under två minuter och de har verkligen förstått detta med rockmusik, det skall inte vara långa låtar med solon som bara tröttar ut osv. Jag kan tänka mig att de som verkligen är intresserade av rockmusik avgudar Libertines och jag är nästan villig att sålla mig till den skaran nu….(SJU) 20/8-04 |

I can to a certain point understand this because their music is really good. Fileld with rock clichés in a positive way. Here we get Clash, Doors , soul, punk and rock. They mixes really much but they have always a good attitude to the music and sounds a little bit cocky in the right way. Here we have songs which goes under two minutes and they have really understand this with rockmusic., it shouldn´t be any long songs with solos which only tires people and so on. I can think that the people who really are interesting of rockmusic will adore Libertines and I´m almost willing to stand behind those people.(SEVEN) 20/8-04 |
