LEFT HAND BLACK-DEATH CAN´T KEEP US APART(LP-THE CIRCLE MUSIC TCM061)

Jag är jävligt stolt att som första tidning/fanzine i Sverige få höra Left Hand Black skiva nästa tre månader innan den släpps. Jag är väldigt tacksam mot Johan i gruppen som gav mig denna chans. Jag har riktigt stora förväntningar på denna skiva och de infrias med råge för de 14 låtarna håller minst lika hög klass som tidigare alster och deras horrorpunk är inte så vanlig i Sverige och det gör de ännu mer unika. Deras låttitlar håller stilen eller vad sägs om Why do I kill everything I love, Six feet under ground och All these monsters men det är texter och titlar som verkligen passar in i deras musik. Det som är den skönaste känslan med att jag har skivan redan nu är att jag kan spela den tre månader nästan innan alla andra och hela min semester är räddad. De är bättre samspelta än någonsin och alla de sköna körerna sitter precis där de ska och jag kan tänka mig att nästan varenda låt kan bli en allsångshit. Man får egentligen inte en lugn stund men alla dessa sköna melodier uppväger det med råge. Att det finns denna typ av musik i Sverige är helt underbart. Jag skulle kunna ge ännu mer superlativ till denna unika grupp men jag vill inte slösa er tid….utan spring och köp skivan….nej just det ni får vänta tills september 😉. Så ni får väl vänta med nervösa öron men ni behöver inte vara nervösa för LHB är minst lika bra som de alltid varit….om inte bättre! Man vet vad man får och man blir verkligen inte besviken….tvärtom…kul också att få höra Per Stålberg från Divison of Laura Lee sjunga horrorpunk i Why do I kill everything I love.27/6-2025

I'm damn proud to be the first magazine/fanzine in Sweden to hear Left Hand Black record almost three months before it's released. I am very grateful to Johan in the group who gave me this chance. I have really high expectations on this record and they are fulfilled with a lot because the 14 songs are at least as high class as previous works and their horrorpunk is not so common in Sweden and that makes them even more unique. Their song titles keep the style or how about Why do I kill everything I love, Six feet under ground and All these monsters but it is lyrics and titles that really fit into their music. The nicest feeling about having the album already now is that I can play it three months almost before everyone else and my whole vacation is saved. They are better together than ever and all the beautiful choirs are right where they should and I can imagine that almost every single song can be a sing-along hit. You don't really get a quiet moment but all these nice melodies far outweigh it. That there is this type of music in Sweden is absolutely wonderful. I could give even more superlatives to this unique group but I don ́t want to waste your time....but run and buy the record....no just that you have to wait until September 😉 . So you have to wait with nervous ears but you don't have to be nervous because LHB is at least as good as they always have been....if not better! You know what you are getting and you really will not be disappointed....on the contrary... It was also fun to hear Per Stålberg from the Division of Laura Lee sing horrorpunk in Why do I kill everything I love.27/6-2025

LEFT HAND BLACK-LOWER THAN SATAN(LP/CD SICK RECORDS SICK 030/GRÖNPEPPAR)

Jag fick en förhandslyssning på Left Hand Blacks nya skiva….Med låttitlar som Into your grave, When I hear you scream, Frankenpenis och My lovely monster så förstår ni att horrorpunken fortsätter och det är ju tur det…annars hade jag blivit besviken. Man kan inte annat än bara älska denna grupp. Snygga melodislingor fylls på med bra sång och körer och det kanske inte finns så många horrorpunkband i Sverige men LHB är klart det bästa jag hört i alla fall. Det är alltid skivor som man vill sätta på om och om igen och jag tröttnar aldrig på deras musik. Tidiga Misfits har ju självklart varit en influens för gruppen men jag tycker även att man kan höra Ramones, Psychotic Youth men framförallt hör vi Left Hand Black och sade jag att de är en av Sveriges bästa punkgrupper när det gäller den rockigare delen av punkband. Jag har sagt det många gånger och kommer att upprepa det tills ni har fattat det. Köp skivan för annars gör ni själva er en ogärning. Bara att sjunga med i körerna är en behållning i sig själv. I got a preview listen to Left Hand Black's new record....With song titles like Into your grave, When I hear you scream, Frankenpenis and My lovely monster, you understand that the horror punk continues and it's lucky that... otherwise I would have been disappointed. One cannot but just love this group. Nice melody loops are filled with good vocals and choirs and there may not be so many horror punk bands in Sweden but LHB is clearly the best I've heard anyway. It's always records that you want to put on over and over again and I never get tired of their music. Early Misfits have obviously been an influence for the group but I also think you can hear the Ramones, Psychotic Youth but above all we hear Left Hand Black and I said that they are one of Sweden's best punk groups when it comes to the rockier part of punk bands. I have said it many times and will repeat it until you have grasped it. Buy the record because otherwise you yourself are doing a wrong thing. Support this band to the fullest because even though they sing about horrible things, they are really nice guys! 23/6-2022

LEFT HAND BLACK-WEREWOLF BY NIGHT(7-SICK TASTE RECORDS SICK 029)

Den här singeln var en försmak av nya LP:n plus en gammal låt som är remixad av Siken. Fick denna av Johan som spelar i gruppen och singeln är riktigt Snygg med sin färgade vinyl och bara den är värd pengarna. Werewolf by night har nästan ett Motörheadsnabbt tempo men annars är det självklart körer och liknande som är grejen för detta göteborgska horrorpunkband. Det blir aldrig dåligt när Left hand Black kör sin punkrock och man vill bara höra mer och mer och då är det ju tur att det precis kommit en ny LP också. Nya remixen av 28 days later gör ju låten till en riktig punkrökare och det var den ju innan men en liten ansiktslyftning har den fått och jag gillar faktiskt denna versionen mer än den på första LP:n. Känns som om sången får mer utrymme eller så kanske jag har fel om det. Men denna tvåspårssingel bör alla införskaffa och mycket beroende på att den är så Snygg, både vinyl och omslag och som bonus på detta två fantastiska horrorpunklåtar. 12/7-2022

LEFT HAND BLACK-WEREWOLF BY NIGHT(7-SICK TASTE RECORDS SICK 029)

This single was a foretaste of the new LP plus an old song remixed by Siken. Got this from Johan who plays in the group and the single is really nice with its colored vinyl and only it is worth the money. Werewolf by night has almost a Motörhead fast tempo but otherwise it is of course choirs and the like that are the thing for this Gothenburg horror punk band. It never gets bad when Left hand Black is doing their punk rock and you just want to hear more and more and then it's lucky that there's just a new LP as well. The new remix of 28 days later makes the song a really fast punksong and it was before but a little facelift it has got and I actually like this version more than the one on the first LP. Feels like the vocals is getting more space or maybe I'm wrong about it. But this two-track single should all buying and much because it's so stylish, both vinyl and cover and as a bonus to this two great horror punk songs. 12/7-2022

Denna skiva kom skickad från Hönö utanför Göteborg och var en riktigt glad överraskning måste jag säga. Snabb punkliknande musik där man både tänker på Psychotic Youth på samma ghång som man tänker på Misfits. Musikalsikt är det kanske lite mer likt Misfits men sångmässigt är det en helt annan röst. De 13 låtarna har titlar som Lets scare Jessica to death, Long live the new flesh och Murder on my kind men det är ingen musik som gör mig arg eller något sådant så att man skulle vilja ut och mörda om man säger så. Utan här är det mer att jag blir glad av deras melodiska och snabba punk och visst kanske man kan kalla det horrorpunk för att göra det lätt men jag tycker det är mer komplext än så poå den här skivan och det finns många olika influenser men de allra flesta är punk kan jag tänka mig även om en och annan metalslinga kan komma in i musiken ibland. Jag älskar verkligen den här skivan och jag blir riktigt glad för att jag fick både på CD och kan spela den var som helst. Glad blir jag också av deras musik. Känns fräsch och nyskapande trots influenser från förr!  19/8-2020

This record came sent from Hönö outside Gothenburg and was a really happy surprise I must say. Fast punk-like music where you both think of Psychotic Youth in the same way as you think of Misfits. Musically, it may be a little more like Misfits, but in terms of singing, it is a completely different voice. The 13 songs have titles like Lets scare Jessica to death, Long live the new flesh and Murder on my kind but there is no music that makes me angry or something like that so you would want to go out and murder if you say so. But here it's more that I get happy with their melodic and fast punk and of course maybe you can call it horrorpunk to make it easy but I think it's more complex than that on this record and there are many different influences but the very most are punk I can imagine even if the occasional metal loop can get into the music sometimes. I really love this record and I'm really happy that I got it both on CD and can play it anywhere. I also become happy when I hear their music. Feels fresh and innovative despite influences from the past! 19/8-2020
