KITCHEN AND THE PLASTIC SPOONS-BEST OFF(CD ILLWIND RECORDS IWR 005) En av låtarna heter Uddevalla och det är min hemstad. Gruppen kom väl i kölvattnet av den svenska punken och jag vet inte var man skall placera dem. De spelade ihop med new wave band och såg ganska punkiga ut egentligen. Här har vi en 20-låtars samling med gruppen som existerade en ganska kort tid egentligen. De startar med en ganska galen låt In Bars där man verkligen inte kan sätta de i ett fack för här finns B 52´s på samma gång som Toyah och psykedelika. Blätta är en riktigt hysterisk låt som jag gillar skarpt och på den vägen är det hela tiden, hysteriskt men egentligen ganska bra…..Happy Funeral påminner mig om Siouxsie and the Banshees tidiga alster….detta är en riktig klassiker. Visst finns det låtar som inte är helbra men som helhet är detta en riktigt välbehövlig skiva och så mycket bättre än jag någonsin kunde tro.(SJU) 9/5-07 |

The group came in the end of the Swedish punk and I don´t know where to place them. They played together with a lot of new wave bands and looked really punky when it was their time. Here we have a 20 song tracks compilation with the group which existed for a short while. They start out with a really maniac song called In Bars and here we cannot put them in any musicstyle because here we have B 52´s in the same time as Toyah and psychedelica. Blätta is a really hysterical song which I like much and in that style it is all the time. …Happy Funeral reminds me about early Siouxsie and the Banshees early songs….this is really classic song. Sure here´s songs which is so good but as a wholeness it´s a really good record and so much better than I ever have thought.(SEVEN) 9/5-07 |
