KÄRTSY 4 SALE-COVERS HIMSELF AND OTHERS(LP-STUPIDO RECORDS TWINLP238)

Come as you are), Prince(Kiss), Led Zeppelin(Stairway to heaven) . 6/4-2021

KÄRTSY 4 SALE-COVERS HIMSELF AND OTHERS(LP-STUPIDO RECORDS TWINLP238)

Kärtsy played in Waltari before and here he makes covers of his own and other songs… The own are probably a little more acoustic than the original. On the CD there are more songs but I got the LP and there are covers of Nirvana (Come as you are), Prince (Kiss), Led Zeppelin (Stairway to heaven). Sky´s the limit is a really good song that is acoustic with a bit of rap… cool. Come as you are maybe not so different from the original but the song is clearly made with love and fits Kärtsys voice really well. Kiss almost becomes a George Michel song and I do not really know… what I think. Leave out all the rest is a pure song that I can imagine would be a hit indeed. But the highlight of the album is Kärtsys version of Coldplay's Viva La Vida… .sensitive. The introduction to Stairway to heaven makes me think of both Elton John and David Bowie but a perfectly OK version. The ending is mostly electronic and feels completely wrong on this record but surprises are fun. 6/4-2021
