INFA RIOT-ANGRY AND OLD(CD-RANDALE RECORDS RAN 286)

 

Jag älskar att gamla band kommer tillbaka och gör skivor och det har varit en del som

gjort det det senaste känns det som. Infa Riot är ett av de banden och det var ju några år sedan vi hörde något nytt från dem. Det känns inledningsvis lite mer som om de gått lite mer till streetpunk än den punk de spelade när det var Kids of the 80´s etc. Visst några medlemmar har ju ändrats också sedan straten så då kanske det blir så att soundet förändras lite grand. Men det är inte någon trött gubbpunk som vi får uppleva utan här är det punk som låter pigg och vital trots att gubbarna börjar komma upp i åren. Jag kan säkert tänka mig att unga punkare kanske tycker …varför?. Jag säger bara varför inte. Om man är kapabel att spela sådan här bra punkrock så hoppas jag att man fortsätter tills döden skiljer oss åt om man säger så. Jag tror inte någon kommer att bli besviken på deras snabba singalong punk! 29/11-2017

I love that old bands come back and make discs and it has been a part of  those records

made it the last one feels like that. Infa Riot is one of those bands and it was a few years since we heard something new from them. At first, it feels a little more like they've gone a little more to streetpunk than the punk they played when it was Kids of the 80's etc. Certain members have changed since then, so maybe the sound changes a little bit. But it's not a tired oldpunk we'll experience, but here's the punk that sounds cool and vital, even though the guys are starting to come up in age. I can probably imagine that young punk might think ... why? I'm just saying why not. If you are able to play such a good punk rock, I hope to continue until death is taking us apart if you say so. I do not think anyone will be disappointed in their fast singalong punk! 29/11-2017

Det har ju kommit en del samlingar med denna grupp och det är ju aldrig fel att hitta nya fans. Infa Riot är et band som borde ha haft mer fans än de hade egentligen för med låtar som Kids of the 80´s Each dawn I die, Emergency, Schools Out, Five minute fashion etc. Både covers och egna låtar som de gjorde på ett väldigt musikaliskt och melodiskt sätt men ändå var det snabbspelad punk. Jag tycker nog att denna skiva är en perfekt introskiva till nya fans och det är också kul att lyssna på detta för det är verkligen musik som håller såhär nästan 35 år efter att den kom ut. Inte så mycket att snacka om …vill ny ha gammal fräsch punk och aldrig hört Infa Riot…köp! Ni som redan hört gruppen men vill ha alla bra låtar samlade på en och samma…. Köp!! 22/1-2016

INFA RIOT-BEST OF(CD-WESTWORLD RECORDINGS/ PLASTIC HEAD)

There's been quite some collections with this group and it is never wrong to find new fans. Infa Riot is a band that should have had more fans than they had if you think of the songs as Kids of the 80's Each Dawn I Die, Emergency, School's Out, Five minute fashion, etc. Both the covers and their own songs they did is very musical and melodic way, but still it was fast played punk. I think that this album is a perfect intro disc to new fans and it's also fun to listen to this because it really is music that is good almost 35 years after it came out. Not so much to talk about ... do you want to have  new old fresh punk and never heard Infa Riot ... buy! You have already heard the group but want to have all the good tunes gathered on one and the same .... Buy!! 22/1-2016

Det är konstigt att vissa grupper fanns så kort tid.Infa Riot gjorde ett par singlar, några samlingar och en LP. Blev sedan Infas(de var inte sämre egentligen och det finns tre låtar med från den tiden). Här får vi det mesta som Infa Riot släppte ut och det är en ganska trevlig och bra samling av god musik. Eller vad sägs om låtar som Emergency, The Winner, Kids of the 80´s och In for a riot för att nämna några. Musikaliskt låg de någonstans mittemellan GBH och street/oipunk och det är ju en mycket trevlig blandning. Lätt att sjunga med i och det är väl sådan man vill ha punkrock. Bra skiva för att få inblick i deras underbara punkrock är det i alla fall. 30/11-05

It´s really odd that some groups was on the road for such a short time. Infa Riot did only some singles, some compliations and one LP. They became later Infas(not badder amd there´s three songs on this Cd from that time). Here we get the most of the stuff that Infa Riot released and that´s a really nice and good compilation of music. Or what to say about songs like Emergency, The Winner, Kids of the 80´s and In for a riot just to mention some. Musically they was somewhere between GBH and oi/streetpunk and that´s a really nice mix. Easy to sing along in and that´s the way you wants punkrock. Good record just to get some way into their wonderful punkrock is it anyway. 30/11-05
