HAERDSMAELTA-GROUND ZERO ONE EIGHT(LP-UNIT 4 RECORDS)

Med låttitlar som Cooking the Chaos, Weapons of mass construction och A Taste of Satan så ger oss Haerdsmaelta oss en riktigt tung stund på runt halvtimmen. Musik som kanske inte alltid är lätt att beskriva men tänk er en blandning av punk och metal , Sator och ett tuffare Ghost med Ubbe från Korslagda Kukar på sång….självklart inte han som sjunger men jag fick den känslan nu att det är samma sköna sångstil på något sätt. Jag gillar de snabba låtarna bäst och en låt som Unravel Them fears är en skön boogie liknande tuff låt som verkligen kör över mig. Med boogie menade jag nog att det nästa finns lite psychobilly bas i den låten. Ni förstår efter allt detta att Haerdsmaelta inte är en grupp som är jättelätt att beskriva utan de måste höras. Det känns lite som om de ligger i en egen musikstil bland hårda stilar. Så de har verkligen lyckats med att få till ett eget sound på något underligt sätt. Det känns som om man får de mesta hårda stilar som finns nedkokade i denna kastrull av musik. Så skönt och befriande att lyssna till en grupp som inte låser sig i en speciell genre. 18/12-2024

With song titles like Cooking the Chaos, Weapons of mass construction and A Taste of Satan, Haerdsmaelta gives us a really heavy moment of around half an hour. Music which may not always be easy to describe but imagine a mix of punk and metal, Sator and a tougher Ghost with Ubbe from Korslade Kukar on vocals....of course not the one who sings but I got the feeling now that it is the same nice singing style in some way. I like the fast songs best and a song like Unravel Them fears is a nice boogie like tough song which really runs over me. By boogie I probably meant that there is a little psychobilly bass in that song. You will understand after all this that Haerdsmaelta is not a group that is very easy to describe, but they must be heard. It feels a bit like they are in their own style of music among hard styles. So they have really managed to get their own sound in some strange way. It feels like you get most of the hard styles that are boiled down in this pot of music. So nice and liberating to listen to a group that doesn't lock itself into a special genre. 18/12-2024

Den här skivan kom som ett brev på posten ;-)  Det är alltid kul med nya grupper och Haersmaelta ä ren ny grupp vad jag vet….Riktigt bra punkrock i samma anda som Sator/All Steel Coaches fast lite tuffare på något sätt. Jag tänker också lite grand på en annan svensk grupp som heter Germ Bomb. Men låt er inte luras av dessa namndroppningar och lyssna på dem själva för att få en bra uppfattning. Det vi kan komma överens om är att det är snabb punkig musik och de har kanske lite influenser från metal, hardcore och liknande men det är punken som är grunden. Ni som brukar läsa mina recensioner vet att jag tränar till vinylskivor och dess musik och denna skiva ä ren ypperlig skiva att svettas lite extra till. Men trots all namn jag gav er så tycker jag faktiskt att Haerdsmaelta har en ganska egen tuff stil men gillar ni några av banden jag nämnde så är det hög tid att kolla in detta band….skynda er också för det är bara 300 ex pressade av skivan! 19/8-2021

This record came as a letter in the mail ;-) It's always fun with new groups and Haersmaelta is a new group as far as I know… .Really good punk rock in the same spirit as Sator / All Steel Coaches but a little tougher somehow. I'm also thinking a little bit about another Swedish group called Germ Bomb. But do not be fooled by these name drops and listen to them yourself to get a good idea. What we can agree on is that it is fast punk music and they may have some influences from metal, hardcore and the like, but it is punk that is the basis. You who usually read my reviews know that I train for vinyl records and their music and this record is an excellent record to sweat a little extra for. But despite all the names I gave you, I actually think that Haerdsmaelta has a pretty own tough style, but if you like some of the bands I mentioned, it's high time to check out this band…. Hurry up too because there are only 300 copies pressed by the record! 19/8-2021
