GUSTAV & THE SEASICK SAILORS-SIRKUS(CD-MARILYN RECORDS MARILYN 07) Vi hade ju redan David and the Citizens och det är ju frågan om vi behöver även detta band. På den frågan skulle jag kunna tänka mig att svara ja. De spelar en ganska likvärdig musik och jag kan tänka mig att husgudarna är Lloyd Cole, Smiths och den typen av ganska soulig pop men ändå riktigt bra. De skulle nästan kunna ta upp kampen med Moneybrother om Sveriges bästa popband även om det kanske är en liten bit kvar till dess. Men om jag skall fortsätta jämföras med Moneybrother så känns det faktiskt som om Gustav and the Seasick Sailors har ett jämnare material men det kanske är en nackdel eftersom den direkta hitten inte finns heller.(SJU) 15/2-06 |

They plays a really similar music and I can imagine that their housegods in music is Lloyd Cole, Smiths and that type od really souly pop butin the same time really good. They could almost take up the struggle with Moneybrother as Swedens best popband but they have a little piece left til they´re there. But if I must continue to compare with some band so is Moneyborther maybe the band but it feels like if Gustav and the Seasick Sailors have a more plain material but in the same tiome they haven´t got the real hit either.(SEVEN) 15/2-06 |
