GRIMES, SHIRLEY-TENDER(CD-OFF2610CD)

Shirley kommer från Schweiz och den här skivan passar ganska bra in i dessa dagar då vi nås av beskedet att Dolly Parton gått bort. Inte så att Shirley låter som Dolly men det finns ju självklart några beröringspunkter tycker jag. Det finns countrystänk i denna ganska lugna musik och det är riktigt musikaliskt men kanske inte riktigt den typen av musik som jag brukar lyssna på. Men om man vill ha en lugn stund med den här typen av musik så passar det ypperligt att lägga in denna skiva i spelaren för det är ett fullgott alternativ till mycket lugn musik. Jag gillar när blåset kommer in som på låten Power för det förstärker känslan av något exklusivt och den gillar jag mycket men annars är det kanske lite väl lugnt för mig eller rättare sagt för att passa in på SkruttMagazine även om jag är öppen för det mesta av musiken som skickas.  27/8-2026

Shirley comes from Switzerland and this record fits really well into these days when we are reached by the news that Dolly Parton has passed away. Not that Shirley sounds like Dolly but there are of course some touchpoints I think. There is country splashes in this really calm music and it is really musical but maybe not really the type of music that I usually listen to. But if you want a quiet moment with this type of music it is perfect to put this record in the player because it is a good alternative to very calm music. I like when the blowinstruments comes in like on the song Power because it enhances the feeling of something exclusive and I like that a lot but otherwise it is maybe a little too calm for me or rather to fit in on SkruttMagazine even if I am open to most of the music that is sent. 27/8-2026
