GONADS-LONDON BAWLING(CD-RANDALE RECORDS RAN252)

Jag intervjuade ju denna trevliga grupp för några år sedan och Garry Bushell som sjunger verkar vara en glad och trevlig prick. Inledningsvis tycker jag nästan att en låt som It´s a Yeti skulle kunna beskrivas som Musichall-punk eller något sådant. Typiskt engelskt är det i alla fall och det är lätt att sjunga med etc. det verkar vara det primära när Gonads gör sin punkiga musik. Att det ska vara lätt att sjunga med och att man ska ha skoj när man lyssnar på musiken. Jag har aldrig sett dem live men jag kan tänka mig fulla punks och skins dansandes och sjungandes nere i publiken och säkert lika många på scen. När de sedan kör min gamla favoritlåt I lost my love to a UK Sub igen kapitulerar jag. Och hela skivan är ju fylld av akustiska versioner av gamla och nya låtar….fräckt! 29/9-2016

I interviewed after this nice group a few years ago and Garry Bushell singing seems to be a happy and nice guy. Initially, I think almost on the song It's a Yeti could be described as the Music Hall-punk or something. Typically English it anyway and it is easy to sing along with, etc. it seems to be the primary when Gonads makes their punk music. That it should be easy to sing along with and that you should have fun when listening to the music. I have never seen them live, but I can imagine the club full of punks and skins dancing and singing down in the audience and certainly many on the scene. When they run my old favorite I Lost My Love to a UK Sub again, I surrender. And the whole record is filled with acoustic versions of old and new songs ... .cool! 29/9-2016

GONADS-GREATER HITS VOLUME ONE:PLUMS(CD--RANDALE RECORDS RAN 072)

En slags samlingsplatta med Gonads är ju aldrig fel. Många anser kanske inte att detta är någon ”riktig” punkgrupp men när jag intervjuade fick jag i alla fall den uppfattningen att de är det. Och vem bestämmer vad som är riktig punk etc…skitsamma om musiken är bra tycker jag!Det är både låtar jag hört innan som Tuckers ruckers ain´t no suckers, SE7 Dole day och en av mina absoluta favoritpunklåtar I lost my love to a UK Sub. Jag gillar Gonads och det är inget jag skäms för eftersom jag tycker om deras typiska engelska sätt att göra punkrock och det är okomplicerat och enkelt på något sätt men för den delen så är det gjort med väldigt mycket känslor och de 16 låtarna är typiska festlåtar på en punkfest eller liknande för det här är musik att festa till…..10/3-2015

A sort of compilationrecord with Gonads are never wrong. Many believe might not think this is any "real" punk group but when I interviewed were at least I think that they are. And who decides what is real punk etc ... heck if the music is good I think it is both the songs I've heard before that Tucker's Ruckers ain't no suckers, SE7 Dole day and one of my absolute favorite punk songs I Lost My love to a UK sub. I like Gonads and there is nothing I am ashamed because I like their typical English way of doing punk rock and it is simple and easy by any means but for the majority it is done with a lot of emotions and the 16 songs are typical party songs on a punk party or similar for this is music to party to ... ..10/3-2015

GONADS-GLORIOUS BASTARDS(CD-LONGSHOT LSCD 73)

De gamla rävarna i Gonads fortsätter att kämpa på och jag gjorde ju nyss en intervju med Gary Bushell som sjunger i gruppen och han gjorde ett seriöst och trevligt intryck. Här är det 18 tracks of filth and fury som de uttrycker det och det stämmer ju riktigt bra. Ni som gillar Oi kommer att älska detta och det finns spår av både Business, Sham 69 och all annan oi/streetpunk som ni kan tänka er men Gonads har ändå fått till en ganska egen stil i allt detta. Noise bastards är en av mina favoritlåtar på skivan och jag älskar när det sjungs Oi Oi oi i låtarna och helt klart är Gonads ett band som gillar att göra det och det gör att musiken alltid är lätt att sjunga med i och det skall den här typen av musik vara. 20/1-2014

GONADS-GLORIOUS BASTARDS(CD-LONGSHOT LSCD 73)

The old foxes in Gonads continue to struggle on and I did just an interview with Gary Bushell who sings in the group and he made a serious and nice impression. Here are the 18 tracks of filth and fury as they express it, and that's right out nicely. Those of you who like Oi will love this and there are traces of Business, Sham 69 and any other oi / street punk as you can imagine, but Gonads've still got a pretty own style in all this. Noise bastards is one of my favorite songs on the album and I love it when it is sung Oi Oi oi the songs and is clearly Gonads a band that likes to do it and it makes the music always easy to sing along to and it will this type of music to be. 20/1-2014

GONADS-BUILT FOR DESTRUCTION(CD-RANDALE RAN 149)

Att spela musik som Gonads gör måste vara härligt för man vet att folk kommer att sjunga med ganska lätt när man bara hört låtarna någon gång och det skall de ha all cred för att de gör sådan musik som de gör. De 15 låtarna är alla potentiella punkhits och när Oi-musik låter som den gör här blir i alla fall jag glad och tror säkert att alla ni andra punk och oivänner också blir glada. Garrys röst är sådär lagom rå och passar ypperligt in på musiken som de spelar. Man skall inte sjunga för bra och inte heller för dåligt. Jag tror och hoppas att en massa människor kommer att köpa Gonads skivor och att de blir miljonärer på kuppen för jag tycker att de är kul och bra. 20/1-2014

GONADS-BUILT FOR DESTRUCTION(CD-RANDALE RAN 149)

To play music that makes Gonads must be great because you know that people will sing with pretty easy when you only heard the songs at some point and it shall have all the credit for doing that kind of music they make. The 15 songs are all potential punk hits and when Oi-music sounds the way it does this is in any case I am happy as I am sure that all of you punk and oifriends also gets excited. Garry's voice is like that right raw and fits excellently into the music that they play. One should not sing too good nor too bad. I believe and hope that a lot of people will buy Gonads discs and that they become millionaires in the process because I think they are fun and good. 20/1-2014

Ännu ett album med Gonads för jag fick tre skivor denna dag med gruppen. Denna skiva är som vanligt fylld med oi-musik och riktigt bra sådan. Jag tänker på Cockney Rejects(såklart) och inledningsvis är det riktigt likt den gruppen i Cemetary of Lost Souls som är en riktig punkrökare. Long Ska summer är en annan favoritlåt på skivan och man vill bara sjunga med hela tiden till deras musik och jag tycker det känns så härligt och klichéfritt att lyssna till en grupp som Gonads. Det känns som om de högaktningsfullt skiter i om någon gillar detta eller inte för de gör musik som de själva gillar och det borde alla grupper göra. 20/1-2014

GONADS-LIVE FREE DIE FREE(CD-EMPTY RECORDS MT-559)

Another album with Gonads because I got three discs on this day with the group. This disc is as usual filled with oi music and really good one. I think of Cockney Rejects (of course), and initially it is quite like the group in the Cemetary of Lost Souls which is a real punk smoker. Long Ska Summer r is another favorite song on the disc and you just want to sing with all the time to their music and I think it feels so lovely and cliché free to listen to a group liket Gonads. It feels like they respectfully do not care if anyone likes it or not they make music that they like and that should all groups do. 20/1-2014

Skojbandet Gonads är tillbaks igen. Medlemmar som verkar vara mellan 20 och 55 ser det ut som. Visst har de ett visst värde i sina låtar och de låter sådär typiskt jättengelskt som bara punkband av denna sort kan.  10 låtar endast på skivan och det gör mig lite besviken för jag tycker att Gonads skall leverera mer när de ändå håller på. Line in the sand är en av mina favoritlåtar på skivan för jag gillar deras sätt att framföra melodiska punklåtar. Kolla in om ni inte tycker att punk skall vara för seriös och gillar streetpunk. 7/8-06

The funband Gonads is back again. With members which seems to be between 20 and 55 it looks like. Sure they have some worth in their songs and they sounds really English as only punkband in this style can do. 10 songs on the record and it makes me a little bit disappointed because I think that Gonads should have some more songs when they´re doing their thing. Line in the sand is one of my favouritesongs on the record because I like their way to do melodic punksongs. Check out if you don´t think that punk should be too serious and if you like streetpunk. 7/8-06
