GIVE UP THE GHOST-WE´RE DOWN TIL WE´RE UNDERGROUND(CD-BURNING HEART BHR 183) Det trodde man väl inte när de första två mini_CD:na damp ner i min brevlåda för många år sedan, No Fun at All och Refused var det då som kom och nu släpper Burning Heart skiva nummer 183. Denna gång är det amerikanska Give up The Ghost som står på listan. GUTG har en underbar titel på sin skiva tycker jag och deras sångare har också en underbar stil. Han låter total desperat och så är musiken också. Som ett modernare Refused faktiskt för här lyser ilskan igenom på ett mycket kännbart sätt. No Fun At All and Refused it was then which came and now Burning Heart release their record number 183. Thistime it´s the American gang Give up the Ghost which is on the list. GUTG have a wonderful title on their record I think and their singer have a wonderful style too. He sounds totally desperate and so is the music too. GIVE UP THE GHOST-LOVE AMERICAN(CD-SINGEL REFLECTIONS RECORDS RFL 042) De hette tydligen American Nightmare innan . De kommer från Boston och där finns en bra tradition för hardcoreband. GUTG försöker att förvalta arvet från de banden mycket bra. Snabb hardcore i samma anda som många av de gamla banden och Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Gorilla Bisquits är band som dyker upp i mitt huvud när jag hör GUTG. Jag hoppas att få höra mer än de här tre låtarna från denna grupp för deras energi smittar av sig. Jag var så trött när jag började att lyssna på dem men just nu känns det super.(SJU) 8/8-03 |
GIVE UP THE GHOST-LOVE AMERICAN(CD-SINGEL REFLECTIONS RECORDS RFL 042) They were named American Nightmare before. They come from Boston and there it is a really good tradition for hardcorebands. GUTG try to do music in the same vein and they succeed. Fast hardcore in the same spirit as many of the old bands and Minor Threat, Circle Jerks, Gorilla Bisquits is among the band which comes up in my mind when I hear GUTG. I hope to hear more than these three songs from this group because their energy is really good. I was so tired before I put this record on but when I listen to them it feels superb.(SEVEN) 8/8-03 |
