FREEZE-FREAK SHOW/CRAWLING BLIND(CD-DR STRANGE DSR 106) Dessa två skivor hade jag redan innan men det är alltid gott att ha dem på samma skiva så tar det mindre plats här hemma. Första skivan ut är Freak Show och den är en uppvisning i melodiös punkrock av bästa märke. Här kanske de ligger kvar lite i hardcoren som de startade i men ändå har melodierna börjat komma men det riktiga flytet finns inte riktigt i alla låtar. Men en låt som Teenage satan är riktigt bra och helt klart är det roligt att höra deras tuffa punkrock. Andra skivan Crawling Blind och där har de funnit sitt sound lite bättre, ganska snabb melodiös hardcorepunk men på ett vis som de är ganska ensamma om, det kanske är Social Distortion som skulle kunna mäta sig med dem isåfall. Jag vet inte om gruppen finns ännu men vad jag vet är i alla fall att deras musik lever kvar hemma hos mig.(ÅTTA) 2/8-04 |

First record out is Freak Show amd that´s a really good showing of punkrock of the best sort. Here they´re left in the hardciore which they started in but the melodies have begin to come but the real style haven´t really comed yet in all of the songs. But a song like Teenage Satan is really good and it´s really nice to hear their tough punkrock. The other record Crawling Blind and there they have found their sound a little better, really fast melodic hardcorepunk but in a way that they´re really alone to have, it´s maybe Social Distortion which could have the same style then. I don´t know if the group is active still but what I know is that their music lives on at my home anyway.(EIGHT) 2/8-04 |

FREEZE-LAND OF THE LOST/RABID REACTION(CD-DR STRANGE DSR96) Två tidiga skivor med Freeze och en EP som heter Guilty Face EP+3. Jag gillar ju sena Freeze och det är intressant att höra hur de lät i början och mitten av 80-talet. Ganska snabb amerikansk hardcore som kanske inte skiljer sig så mycket ifrån andra band på den här tiden. Kanske inte lika snabb som många andra under denna tid och Freeze lyckas faktiskt få till lite melodier på ett annat sätt än andra grupper på denna tiden. Första skivan Land of the lost kom ut 1983 och den är en uppvisning i bra punkrock. Andra skivan Rabid Reaction kom 1985 och likt sin föregångare var den fylld med snabb punkrock och Freeze började mer och mer visa sin riktiga framsida och musikaliskt hade de utvecklats en del. Sista skivan Guilty face, som kom 1982, är likaledes en trevlig historia med Helloween som riktigt rå låt.(ÅTTA) 5/12-03 |
FREEZE-LAND OF THE LOST/RABID REACTION(CD-DR STRANGE DSR96)Two early record with Freeze and one EP called Guilty Face + 3. I like the late Freeze and it´s interesting to hear how they sounded in the beginning and the middle of the 80´s . really fast american hardcore which isn´t so much apart from other bands from this time. Maybe not so fast as many other bands during this time and Freeze manage to get foreward some melodies in another way than other bands in the same time. The first record Lan dof the lost came out in 1983 and it´s a really good showing of how good punkrock can be played. The other record Rabid Reaction came 1985 and it´s like the LP before a really good one filled with fast punkrock and Freeze began to more and more show their real side and musically they have been gone foreward a little. The last record on this record came 1982 and Guilty Face is a fast thing with helloween as the most raw and fast song.(EIGHT) 5/12-03 |
