FREDERIKSEN, LARS-TO
VICTORY(MINI-LP-PIRATES PRESS PPR301)
Motherland.

FREDERIKSEN, LARS-TO
VICTORY(MINI-LP-PIRATES PRESS PPR301)
This is probably Lars'
first solo album without a band and here we get to see four songs of his own
plus two covers and it is Comin Home by Kiss and Tomorrow's girls that was
first made by UK Subs. It's acoustic songs that are very punky anyway and it
can't be another with Lars' voice because there's punk at the fingertips
when it comes to music. With songs such as God and Guns and Army of Zombies,
the album begins and there is a wild crank on the acoustic guitar together
with Lars' raw voice. It feels so incredibly genuine when Lars sings and
here there are feelings that make me get goosebumps. Fun to take all six
songs on both sides but it's good so you don't have to turn it around plus
you can save one side. Just when I thought it was acoustic, a really good
electric version of UK Subs Tomorrows Girls comes only with electric guitar.
Continues in the same way in them really good Motherland. Here we even get
some mandolin-like sound along with some drums. The second cover of the
album is Comin Home by Kiss which I do not remember what the original sounds
like but here it is an acoustic punk song with Lars' fantastic voice. Some
piano accompaniment is available here too. The last song out is Skunx, which
is the toughest song on the record and so much emotions it is in that song.
