Om man tar det bästa från Frank Zappa blandar detta med Systems of a Down så har man kanske Flattbush. 15 låtar som man aldrig riktigt vet var de landar är vad som är resultatet av Flattbushs nya skiva. Detta är inget för er som vill ha det vanliga USHC-stuket, radioanpassad pop eller så utan det här är mer för finsmakare av udda musik men som ändå inte blir helt konstig. Primus kanske? Jag är inte så inne på dem men varför inte?  Intellektuell hardcore kanske…skitsamma, fräckt är det i alla fall.(SJU) 16/3-07

If you take the best from Frank Zappa and mix that with Systems of a Down so have you maybe Flattbush. 15 songs which you never knows where they´re landing is the result of Flattbush new record. This is maybe not anything for you who wants the usual USHC-styled music, radiosuited pop or so because this is more for you who loves odd music which don´t get too weird. Primus maybe? FLATTBUSH-SMASH THE OCTOPUS(CD-KOOLAROW RECORDS KACA 014/EVIL BITCH 666) Ett mycket intressant band det här. De har rötter från Filippinerna och spelar in sin debutskiva i San Fransisco. I mångt och mycket påminner de om Systems of a Down fast på ett punkigare vis. Men de blandar på samma sätt snabb musik med udda partier och vansinnestempo. De sjunger på engelska och något annat språk som jag inte kan identifiera.  Roligt med grupper som avviker från det normala och gör något ganska eget utan att vara konstiga. Flattbush är bara tuffa och verkar verkligen leva på detta tuffa sätt.(SJU) 18/9-03

 FLATTBUSH-SMASH THE OCTOPUS(CD-KOOLAROW RECORDS KACA 014/EVIL BITCH 666)A really interesting band this one. They have roots from the Phillipines and they have record their record in San Fransisco and they remind me much about Systems of a down but in a punkier way. But in the same way they mix fast music with odd styles and really mad tempo. They sing in English and in some language that I can´t identify. It´s fun with groups which really do music which is apart from the usual stuff and do something own without being to odd. Flattbush is only tough and they seem to mean it.(SEVEN) 18/9-03
