De betecknas som ett Celtic punk band och då vet ni väl vad det betyder. Folkpunk! Det är utgivet på ett japanskt bolag men gruppen kommer från Chicago. Ett intro som för tankarna till en punkig We will rock you eller något. När musiken sedan drar igång blir jag mycket lycklig för de här snabbarna låtarna låter så bra så man får tårar i ögonen. Fräck bakgrundssång är det också av de andra killarna. När sedan säckpiporna kommer in i den energiska punken blir jag ännu mer lycklig…kolla in den här gruppen med en gång och är ni rädda för att det skulle vara för mycket folkmusik så är det verkligen inte det för betoningen ligger på punk. They´re known as a Celtic punkband and then you know what that means. Folkpunk! It´s released on a Japanese label but the group comes from Chicago. An intro which leads our thoughts to a punky version of we Will Rock You or something like that. When the music comes I become very happy because the fast songs sounds so good that I get tears in my eyes. Cool backgroundvocals is it also from the other guys. When the bagpipes comes into the energic punk I become even more happy…check this group out at once and are you afraid of the fact that they have to much folkmusic in their music you don´t have to be that because the most of the focus is on punk. | FLATFOOT 56-KNUCKLES UP(CD-FLICKER RECORDS 60518-2691-2) Första skivan med Flatfoot 56 är en riktigt trevlig upplevelse den också och här är de om möjligt ännu snabbare….då menar jag musikaliskt för här spelar de lite snabbare faktiskt än vad de gör på nya skivan. Men visst får säckpipan lite utrymme här också och det gillar jag och några låtar har små stunder av keltisk folkmusik och det är något jag också gillar. Men i det stora hela är det punk som gäller för dem och snabb sådan. Här får man med lite multimedia saker också och det är ju alltid en bonus…..Man känner för att hoppa upp på bordet och dansa lite med det kräver kanske mer än en Guinness för att göra det.(SJU) 16/8-07 | FLATFOOT 56-KNUCKLES UP(CD-FLICKER RECORDS 60518-2691-2) The first record with Flatfoot 56 is a really nice experience that too and here are they if it´s possible even faster ….then I mean musically because here they play a little faster than they´re doing on the new record. But sure the bagpipe get some space here too and that I like and some of the songs have small parts of them with pure folkmusic and that´s something I also like. But in the wholeness it´s punk which is the thing for them and fast punk. Here you get some multimediathings too and that´s always a bonus…I almost feel to jump on the table and dance but it maybe needs more than one Guinness to do that.(SEVEN) 16/8-07 |
